YHA Sydney Harbour

The rooftop view was amazing! The location involved a lot of uphill walking, which was a bit tiring to get to. However, the lounge was spacious and pleasant, and the room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained.

Excellent location! It's built right on top of the Big Dig, and artifacts unearthed from beneath 'The Rock' are even displayed inside the hotel. I was surprised at how large this hostel was, with over a hundred rooms. It's right next to the Opera House and the bridge, and only about 500 meters from the metro station. The only downside is that breakfast was a bit expensive.

This place is amazing! Seriously, everything from the location and service to the facilities is top-notch. It's a huge, very professional establishment right across from the Sydney Opera House and super close to the ferry. The only slight inconvenience is that you always encounter stairs on the way to the subway, which can be a bit tiring with luggage. The quad room having its own private bathroom is a big plus. My bunkmate even saw the staff member making up my bed, which was nice. There's a bar on the top floor with live music at night, and the restaurant on the second floor is my dream kitchen! They provide pots, pans, and cutlery, and I guess the 'free' food available is just what previous guests left behind. I honestly can't think of many downsides, though being a bit far from Coles is one minor point. It's also very clean, and the cupboards are convenient.

The hygiene is great, and the location is fantastic. Although the uphill walk is a bit tiring, the nearby restaurants and the night views are absolutely stunning! It might be a bit challenging if you're socially anxious, as roommates might strike up conversations or snore. Security is assured, and you can store your luggage. Overall, the atmosphere is really good.
