Pullman Rotorua

The location is super central in Rotorua, making it convenient to get everywhere. However, the valet parking is ridiculously expensive at $59 a day – even more than in Wellington! The temporary parking spots right outside only allow for 5 minutes, and parking nearby is a hassle. You can park in the Pukuatua St car park, about a 10-minute walk away, for $1/hour. The breakfast was good; they even had a pot of pre-cooked sunny-side-up eggs, and the fried noodles were delicious. Our room was spacious with a great view, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, plus it was well-equipped.

The hotel is well-located in the town, not far from the lake, offering views of the lake and its island from the windows. The rooms are very spacious and well-equipped. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety, and the most interesting feature is that empty milk bottles are provided in the room, allowing guests to self-serve fresh milk from the lobby.

After a long search, I chose this hotel over a more expensive B&B, feeling that chain hotels generally offer higher quality. I wasn't disappointed at all. The room was neat and clean, the staff were enthusiastic, and the breakfast was good. In the evening, I visited a famous hot spring hotel to experience the unique local sulfur springs, which was particularly enjoyable.

Traveling to the North Island, we passed through the small town of Rotorua. The hotel is centrally located near the lake, making it very convenient for getting around. However, the self-parking is a bit expensive at 59 New Zealand dollars per day. The breakfast was quite good and varied. This must be the best hotel in town.
