The place has character, the staff are friendly and helpful, and my dinner was delicious. I really enjoyed it.

Clean warm room, with great shower and a lovely breakfast . Perfect for me .

Great Staff, fantastic food, Very clean rooms and a very warm welcome. would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. loved the open fire for a cosy drink and chat.

Staff was friendly. Room was dated but clean. The mattress with metal coils was flat, noisy and super uncomfortable. Time to get a new one in this room.

Staff were friendly and breakfast very good. The mattress and pillows were poor. Bedding and towels tired.

The condition of the property is poor. Breakfast on weekends was not until 8 which was to late. We never really felt welcome.

We had a very unpleasant experience at this property. Do not add dining room charges to your room and review carefully.

Everything would have been excellent but even though we had hung the “please clean my room “ hanger on the bedroom door we returned one night to find it had not been done

Beautiful old, well maintained hotel Beautiful old hotel. Well maintained and comfortable. We booked 2 nights. We had to remind ourselves that we were in Scotland and things were different than we were use to. The bed was uncomfortable and the top cover was too small for the bed. Either we did not know how to flush the toilet or it wasn’t working properly. We reported it to the staff. It was like priming a pump to get it to flush. Don’t know, in this beautiful old house, that might be normal.
