Absolutely spectacular spot walking distance from the Great Wall! Unfortunately there were no hot springs in January (oops) but Master Chen was so incredibly accomadating and even let us borrow his car to go to dinner. 10/10 recommend !

The room was clean and the service was excellent. It's only a 5-minute walk from the scenic area entrance, which is super convenient. Due to a special circumstance, the owner even provided a car, which was incredibly helpful! I'll definitely stay here again next time.

The pictures online vs what we see when we were there is different. The place is undergoing renovation. The service staff is impatient and not very polite, he does not agree to our breakfast timing request at 730am. He persuaded us to eat later and scale Great Wall at a later time. Really strange. When I traveled to Huairou for the weekend, I chose this hotel at the foot of the Mutianyu Great Wall. It's the best environment around and even has a hot spring. The room was very comfortable and super quiet at night. Mutianyu is right across the street. It's currently off-season, though, and parts of the hotel are still under renovation.
