Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach by IHG

We had a wonderful island getaway! We landed at Changi Airport first, then took a ferry to Bintan Island. From the moment we arrived at the pier, we experienced the warm and thoughtful service of Indigo. The transfer staff proactively helped us with our two large 28-inch suitcases and warmly welcomed us to the island. The hotel front desk staff were also very enthusiastic and attentive, offering us drinks and hot towels to help us unwind after our journey. Our room was clean and bright. The bedding is worth mentioning: the mattress was firm, and the pillows were a bit soft; it would have been more comfortable if they had more support. The hotel breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious, with both à la carte and buffet options available. All the service staff we encountered during our stay were very friendly and welcoming. They would greet us proactively and would offer help if they saw we needed something. We heard they're building a small shopping mall next door, which will make things even more convenient in the future! We'd definitely stay here again if we get the chance!

Had a fantastic trip! The service was incredibly attentive. Our room faced the ocean, which was perfect for just relaxing. You can snorkel, swim, hit the gym, enjoy the spa, or just unwind. It's truly an ideal spot for a vacation.

Booked two rooms, both with sea views, and they were very clean. The hotel food was also delicious; honestly, the room service food felt even better than the restaurant's! The beach had tons of tiny shells to collect. They even added an extra bed for us. The service was excellent. We also found a Chinese driver right outside the hotel for a private tour, and the itinerary was really fun.

Indigos Bintan・A Candid Review After a Five-Day, Four-Night Stay Having just completed a five-day, four-night stay, overall, this is a 'beautiful and Instagrammable' resort. However, for those planning a four-night consecutive stay, there are a few practical points to be aware of. Beach and Water Activities The sand on the beach is quite fine and white, but at low tide, the tidal flats are very shallow and mixed with small stones, making it unsuitable for direct swimming. On the other hand, it’s perfect for using the complimentary (30-minute) kayaks and stand-up paddleboards provided by the hotel – the equipment is new, you can launch directly from the beach, and the staff even offer basic instruction, which is a big plus. Spending an hour or two here each day is a great way to enjoy the sun and work off the delicious food. Poolside Breakfast Breakfast is served semi-buffet style at SugarBEATS, with seating right by the pool. Enjoying your meal by the poolside truly adds to the vacation vibe. The food is refined, especially the Indonesian fried rice and freshly prepared Pho, but the selection isn't extensive, and eating there for four consecutive days can feel a bit repetitive. Biggest Pain Point: Only One Restaurant in the Entire Hotel This is my biggest gripe. You're stuck eating dinner at the same place, and by the third night, I was at a loss for what to order. The prices aren't cheap, but the food is just average. I highly recommend bringing your own snacks or simply walking five minutes to the Holiday Inn next door for more dining options. Other Minor Drawbacks While the greenery is lovely, there are a lot of mosquitoes, so you need to open and close the balcony door quickly. Soundproofing at night is mediocre; footsteps in the corridor are clearly audible. Summary If you're drawn by the design and service, a 2-3 day stay would be paradise. However, five days and four nights is definitely on the longer side. Remember to plan at least two days for excursions (like the mangrove tour or Blue Lake), otherwise, you might get bored. I'd give it an overall score of 8.5/10 – it offered pleasant surprises, but didn't quite reach full marks.

Ambiance: The natural environment is amazing, and there are several beautiful pools. You could easily spend three days just enjoying the hotel. Cleanliness: The housekeepers are very attentive and keep both the rooms and the outdoor areas spotless. Service: Aside from the fact that communication is only in English, all other service requests are handled promptly. Facilities: There's some construction noise during the day as the hotel is still expanding.

Over 7,000 for one night and I'm very satisfied! Even though it was my birthday on the day of check-in, I only received a towel cake. Overall, the service was excellent; every staff member was smiling. The room was very new and clean, and the pool was also large, plentiful, and very clean.
