Received the absolute best, most loving and caring service in the universe. They never made me feel awkward or uncomfortable and provided the ultimate support. Got an amazing value for money. Impressed from the very first moment, never caused me a single moment of distress. The service was the absolute best in the universe. When I fell ill, they took care of me in the best way possible. They handled every problem like absolute champions. When my family couldn't transfer the money in time, the hotel was kind enough to cover it for us in advance at no extra charge.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Every staff member we met at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong greeted us warmly. Since I booked the Oriental Pearl view room for my girlfriend's birthday and requested it in advance, they even arranged a cake and decorations—huge thanks to Rosy and her team. We also booked dinner ahead of time, and they decorated the table with rose petals, which was a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast offered a great variety, and the food tasted exceptionally well-prepared and delicious. The only minor drawbacks were that the first round of the minibar wasn't complimentary and parking wasn't free, though there might be some objective reasons for this; however, these small flaws didn't overshadow the overall excellent experience. The hotel has an incredible location with stunning room views. They reached out to us proactively before check-in, and promptly accommodated my husband's request for a firm mattress and buckwheat pillow. The front desk service was top-notch—they even helped us secure restaurant reservations. A special thanks goes to Scarlett from the Guest Recognition Department. Since we were planning an early morning visit to a relative at the Taikang Community Songjiang, we needed to buy fresh flowers, but being unfamiliar with the area, Scarlett proactively searched online for the nearest florist. She saved us so much hassle and time, allowing us to quickly get the perfect bouquet. Scarlett is a lovely and attentive young lady from Shandong province who looked after our needs throughout our stay. We were especially warmed by the hand-written welcome card with its cute drawings. The day before we checked out, she thoughtfully gave us a small gift 🎁. Thank you so much for your caring service! Also, while we were in the elevator, a drunken guest vomited on the floor, and some splashed onto my trousers. While I was standing there in shock and at a loss for what to do, John from the Concierge team stepped in immediately to help, quickly arranging for the laundry service to clean my trousers. I am truly grateful. All in all, our stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai Pudong was wonderfully comfortable. Every single staff member was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making our trip to Shanghai exceptionally pleasant and unforgettable.

I've always loved The Ritz-Carlton. They are iconic landmarks in every city, offering convenient transportation and comprehensive facilities. The room decor and service are also exquisitely refined. This Pudong location is situated right above the IFC Mall, making shopping and dining exceptionally convenient. Step outside, and you're right by Exit 6 of the Lujiazui Metro Station, with a pedestrian overpass just a 3-minute walk away for great photo ops. I traveled with my mom this time and booked a three-piece suite with a view; she was very satisfied.

Booked the Pearl River view room, the scenery was great and totally worth it! The breakfast was also quite diverse. Afternoon tea service was just average, but with a wide variety, so it was okay.

I had a truly wonderful stay. It's a hotel that feels both incredibly comfortable and somewhat breathtaking. The biggest pleasant surprise was the direct view of the Oriental Pearl Tower—seeing it in person is honestly even more stunning than in the photos! Special thanks to the hotel for arranging such a great room for us; the view was truly fantastic. Aside from the scenery, the hotel's ambiance, comfort level, and service were all major pluses, and the staff were very attentive. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. It was comfortable, the views were well worth it, and it definitely makes you want to visit again! ❤️

To celebrate our wedding anniversary, we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. It truly deserves a five-star rating. The hotel's location and views are impeccable. Our room faced the Bund and the Huangpu River, offering an incredibly expansive view. Whether it was the morning sunshine or the dazzling night lights of Lujiazui, we could take it all in through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. The depth and breadth of the scenery were truly impressive. Secondly, a special thank you must go to Ms. Angela. Upon learning it was our wedding anniversary, she thoughtfully decorated our room. The attention to detail truly showcased the care and warmth of a luxury hotel, making our stay full of surprises and touching moments. From the room's hardware facilities to the welcoming service provided by all the 'Ladies and Gentlemen,' everything perfectly embodied the essence of the Ritz-Carlton. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai for a vacation or to celebrate a special occasion!

Everything about this hotel is disproportionate to its price: 1. Despite other rooms being available, I was not offered a complimentary upgrade and was instead dismissively assigned a low-floor room with a poor view. 2. The welcome fruit consisted of one banana and one kiwi (without a knife), and a few plums – it was so underwhelming that it would have been better not to receive anything at all. There were also none of the usual welcome amenities that other hotels provide. 3. The worst part was the breakfast, which cost 200 per person: cold pan-fried dumplings, fishy-smelling meat and shrimp, and a pitifully small variety of dishes. Is this really worth 400? It's worse than the breakfast quality at 800-yuan hotels. When I tried to sit by the window, I was told it was reserved. Do even breakfast seats have a hierarchy? Is seating determined by room type rather than arrival order? 4. The service was neither warm nor attentive, showing no consideration for guests and seemingly only focused on making money. Other than the location, there's nothing commendable about this place. Even laundry services are charged for every single item, and the decor is utterly outdated, lagging 20 years behind. 5. Overall, the value for money is extremely low, and the experience was terrible. Most hotels in Shanghai costing around 1,000 yuan are better in every aspect. I came for the Oriental Pearl Tower view, but I will never stay here again. 6. This is a completely objective negative review.
