Comfort Hotel Park

This hotel was not my first choice for staying in Trondheim, but it did work out well. We arrived on a Sunday and the hotel desk said we could park our rental car for free in the parking lot across from the cathedral. We stayed two days here, and Sunday night and Monday we had to move the car to a pay parking ramp, but it was directly across from this hotel. Our room here was just fine as far as sleeping goes, quiet and okay bed. However, the view from our room #336 was a concrete wall 6 feet away. The shower here is also very small with odd double shower doors that swing in or out and one side hits the toilet. A large breakfast is served here with selections to please most everyone and there are two large dining rooms. There is always free coffee and nice couches and chairs in the lobby area which we took advantage of. The hotel desk doubles as a bar. Easy walking to the cathedral two blocks away and the Old Town is 4 blocks away. If you plan to do any shopping in the area around the hotel, I would say forget it. It is pretty rundown and looks to be suffering from hard economic times. There is a shopping mall (Solsiden) about 2 miles away.

The room was so hot. Bad aircondition system, and a tiny window. No fridge to keep the food and drinks cold. The door to the shower didnt close all the way. The toilet wasnt cleaned properly.

Terrible standard rooms. Loud, sad, uncomfortable. Bathroom small full off mold and renovated at least 20year ago

We were greeted by the most nice and serviceminded receptionists who made us feel very welcomed. This man must win an award! The rooms were nice, clean and cozy. The breakfast buffet had everything we needed. And the location was very close to restaurants and bars in Trondheim.

This is a good, no frills hotel for a decent price. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, breakfast was included in the price and offered both cold and warm dishes. The hotel is nothing fancy, but if you're looking for a clean, comfortable place to get some sleep and some food in your stomach before you venture out for the day, this hotel delivers. Before my visit, I recieved an email welcoming me where I was also informed that they have a laundry room free of charge for their guests. I didn't have any use for that service, but it still was a positive surprise for me to find that out. You can walk pretty much anywhere from the hotel and there is a parking garage very close by where you can leave your car for as long as you wish (for a fee) during your stay. There are plenty of restaurants close by, and a movie theater right across the street, if your plans are changed because of the weather (Norway doesn't dub their movies, they are shown in the original language with subtitles in Norwegian).

Very good location in Trondheim. Relatively easy to find parking at an ok price. Cozy and helpful staff, but the greeting becomes a bit forced - a little too much trained use of standard phrases, for my part. Nice premises, ok rooms and good service.
