Ibis Sydney Darling Harbour

Service: It was okay. I was changing hotels, so I dropped off my luggage early in the morning, and the front desk staff was really enthusiastic. However, for the two nights I actually stayed, the service I encountered was pretty standard. Facilities: The hotel definitely shows its age. The showerhead is a rainfall type, but the faucet doesn't close tightly, so it dripped all night long, which was quite noisy. The shower floor is plastic and very slippery – it feels like you could easily fall. Harbour View Room: I booked this hotel specifically for the view, but the windows don't open, and there's no balcony. Looking through the glass at night, you really can't see much, which was a big disappointment for me. Overall: This is a chain hotel with a lot of guests, so it must have other reasons for people to stay. But if I had to choose again, I probably wouldn't pick this one.

The room was clean and the king-size bed was spacious enough for a short stay, which was perfect. The best part is its proximity to nearby attractions and the pier, making it convenient to get around on foot or by ferry.

I really appreciate being able to check in early. However, I had booked a harbor view room, but I was given a room on the opposite side!!
