We stayed in a master suite , worth the splurge, incredible views of the whales tail… turn down service was exquisite… terrace beautiful…. Staff were discreet but always available , nothing too much trouble… Emanuel, Alonso and Micheal to name a few.. very attentive and informative, concierge services excellent:.. Only slight criticism was after 4 nights menu becomes limited… although all the food was superb… will be back .

5 days spent in the most beautiful resort ever- everything was 10/10. The service was top notch, the staff were all wonderful, and everything about the hotel was stunning. We stayed in a master suite and our only need to leave the room was to eat (although room service was available). Michael, William, and Alonso were beyond attentive to our every food and drink need and were a pleasure to see for our meals and happy hours daily! Words can’t describe how beautiful our room was- the views unbelievable, the plunge pool was huge and warm, and the mini bar fully stocked. We are already ready to plan a trip back. If you are looking for a private, serene escape this is the place to go!

This hotel gets fantastic reviews because it is very good indeed. Amazing views, especially at sunset, staff very helpful and a very cosy feel to the place. We were on a self drive in a Toyota Rav4. Luckily we had noticed on Tripadvisor that you have to be very brave to drive up the hill from Uvita. We messaged the hotel beforehand and a driver met us at the bottom, parked our car for us in their locked parking area and drove us up in a new Land Cruiser. I am not sure our car would have made it up, or down. That service is available on request to take you to Uvita for the beach etc so you won’t need to drive. Laundry service also free. All in all great place to stay for at least two nights (we stayed two nights) more if you want to do the many excursions on offer. Very romantic rooms, all with amazing views. Excellent restaurant on site.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kura! My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at this amazing hotel. After an adventurous four-wheel drive up the mountain, you enter the Kura property and are immediately blown away by the most glorious view of the Whale's Tail at Marino Ballena Park. The views, the rooms, the food, and the service were exceptional. The free breakfast every morning provides lots of delicious choices, and the dinners featured locally sourced ingredients. We ate every meal at Kura because there are so many wonderful options to choose from. Special touches include Bluetooth speakers, flashlights, binoculars, and snacks and drinks in your room, as well as free laundry service. They also provide free transportation to Uvita, including Marino Ballena Park, which is absolutely magical! Emanuel, Cindy, Alonso, William, Maureen, and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to make you feel like you are part of the family. I highly recommend Kura if you are staying near Uvita.

This place is AMAZING! The staff are the BEST part of this hotel, the views are second! We felt like time stood still at the Kura and left so relaxed! We had two massages during our stay and they were fantastic! The food will take your breath away!

We stayed in the # 8 master suite which is probably the most beautiful space that we've ever stayed in. Over the top architecture, furnishings, private pool, view out over Uvita point. It's almost like we were in a private palace for six days. Amazing staff, fine dining, beautiful gardens in common areas. Tree lecture

I don't even want to tell anyone about this place, because I want to keep it all to myself. Then again, I must share my incredible experience. I have very high standards for hotels and hospitality in general and I can't say enough good things about this heavenly place. The attention to detail was unmatched. When we had an early morning excursion, they had towels, water bottles breakfast and coffee packed for us. When we arrived back at the hotel, the staff was waiting with a refreshing beverage and cold towel. When we left our room for a little, we got back to a spotless and clean room. The food was some of the best hotel food I've ever had; amazing flavor pairings, incredibly fresh ingredients, unique menu options that felt authentic with an American twist. Every time we asked for anything, whether it be a last minute request or a driver, they accommodated. Most importantly, I didn't feel like I was being ripped off in the slightest. The food, drinks and spa treatments were incredibly reasonably priced. The massage that I got was heavenly. I just stayed at the Nayara Tents shortly after, and noticed that they try to "get you" in various ways, like charging $10 for a water at dinner when I never asked for a water bottle and would have been fine with tap. Kura really took care of their customers, and it didn't feel as transactional as most hotels feel. When I got the bill instead of cringing, I was happy to pay up.

We have just returned from the most amazing 6 nights at this incredible property for our honeymoon. Emanuel was so kind to upgrade us to a master suite which completely took our breath away, safe to say we have never seen a more beautiful suite! We arrived at midnight and the staff were so kind to arrange food waiting for us as we’d had a long day travelling. The property itself is absolutely stunning, and the views completely took our breath away. It’s so tranquil and we had the most amazing bird-watching just sitting on the terrace. The food & drinks were all delicious, all the ingredients were so fresh and well put together. The staff truly made our visit so enjoyable, they were so personable & really went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and we well looked after from the moment we arrived. The hotel helped book a number of activities for us (whale watching & a visit to Corcovado) and also put on complimentary daily activities such as cocktail making and rum tasting which was such a lovely touch (a huge thanks to Alonso who hade this great fun!!). I have no doubt we will be back and a huge thank you to Kura and all the amazing staff who made our trip so incredible!

pool needs to be heated, and rooms are ok
