Ripense in Trastevere

We stayed for one night and really enjoyed our stay. Filippo was very helpful, clearly explaining how to find our way and check in when we arrived later than planned, gave us a secure space to store our luggage after check out, and was very communicative over WhatsApp for any questions. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning. The rainforest style shower was especially great after a long day of travel, with nice toiletries available in the bathroom. There was some noise from outside and from the reception area, especially as our room was right next reception, but the hotel kindly provided complementary ear plugs to manage this. Location was very convenient for exploring Trastevere! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

AC unit was horrible we were there in July and room never cooled down. The pics show front staff but were never there to help answer questions or anything. Location was interesting with local bars and restaurants. Shower was horrible water got all over the floor. Then when we left a wallet behind they asked if we wanted it shipped and we said yes then went on to tell us we would have to set up a carrrier. How would we go about that. This is not a hotel it’s rooms in a large building so do not expect any hotel amenities.

Our trip to Rome was wonderful! (January 16–21) A major part of this experience was the room we booked for five nights at Ripense in Trastevere. We found it by chance on Booking. Our room was a triple (it can also be converted into a quadruple) and it was room number 4. It was very clean, recently renovated, modern, almost brand new, pleasant, and spacious. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of wardrobes—four in total, one in each corner. One of them includes a small fridge and an espresso coffee machine with free coffee capsules. The window overlooks Ripense Street, with a view of the Tiber River to the left. The room has radiator heating (there is also air conditioning) and it is very quiet. Breakfast is Italian-style and includes free coffee, juice, a croissant of your choice, and toasted bread with butter or jam. Breakfast is served at two nearby cafés in the area (about 30–40 meters from the room). Security is excellent: access to the building is via a link, while entry to the main door and the room doors is with a code. Filippo, the property manager, is young, polite, and very discreet. He arranged a taxi for me from Fiumicino Airport to the accommodation and back (highly recommended), which saved me a lot of time. The location is ideal, as you can walk to all the major landmarks of Rome: the Colosseum (20 minutes), Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and the Vatican (about 30 minutes). Great location everything is walkable. I love to walk so for me it was perfect about 25 minutes to the coliseum and all those things but the real Italy is in Trastevere! Great food all over!

Loved this accommodation! We were very comfortable here, easy check in and out and the location couldn't have been more perfect for everywhere we wanted...25/30 min walk to the historic centre and the colosseum areas. 40 min to vatican city and then in trastevere for the evenings. The bed was comfy and they had black out blinds plus the shower was brilliant. There was an aircon ban across the city when we went and they provided a fan as our room was very warm, i would suggest that fans are provided without asking, but that would be my only thing. I would definitely stay again.

Incredible location and neighbourhood, good room and all you need space-wise. Clean and well-equipped. Service was incredibly kind and helpful. They did let us know to let them know of we had any issues with the AC because of a power problem caused by nearby street work. The AC could not cool the room down at all, it must have been about 27 Celsius and the air was completely still, regardless of the windows being open. After I messaged after the first sleepless night
