Avani+ Luang Prabang Hotel

This hotel has a great location right in the heart of the old town, making it very convenient to visit the night market and major temples. The breakfast was also quite good—these are a few of the rare highlights. However, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. It offers poor value for money, and many services come with extra charges. For comparison, Rosewood charges only $35 for station pick-up and drop-off, while this place wanted $50, which is ridiculous! The hotel clearly has a complimentary buggy service to downtown attractions, but the staff didn't mention it at all during check-in. We only found out after discovering it ourselves and pressing the front desk about it. The room hardware is also subpar. The single bed is only 0.9 meters wide, making it impossible to turn over comfortably while sleeping. We also experienced unexplained power outages, which really ruined our rest. Aside from the location and breakfast, everything else falls short of this price point. Not recommended.

We checked out early from Satri House and came back to this hotel. The staff was so thoughtful to let us check in early and even welcomed us with complimentary fruit and snacks, which we really appreciated! The staff even recognized us. For our second stay, we were in a ground-floor room. Compared to the second-floor rooms with balconies, this one was just as comfortable—having our own little patio was lovely and relaxing. I absolutely love Avani's decor style: modern and minimalist, yet with a great resort vibe. The toiletries also smelled wonderful and high-end. If I ever visit Luang Prabang again, I would definitely choose to stay here. Highly recommended to everyone!

The location is fantastic, making it super convenient to get anywhere. They offer a free electric buggy service to take you anywhere in the old town. Breakfast is a mix of à la carte and buffet, and you can even take it to go. The service is super friendly and attentive. However, the room layout is a bit monotonous. While the service is great, the price is certainly on the higher side.

This hotel boasts an excellent downtown location, right at the entrance/exit of the night market. You can start enjoying food as soon as you step out. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service. The day before, I was staying elsewhere, and the hotel even sent someone to pick me up. The staff were very proactive. The only minor drawback was having to wait when the shuttle bus was unavailable.

Although the room is small, the public areas are lovely, and the breakfast is a mix of buffet and semi-buffet. It's within walking distance to Foreigners' Street, and the night market is right there as well, making it super convenient. If the kids get tired, you can head back to the hotel to rest in no time. The staff are attentive and very friendly ^^

Right outside the hotel, you'll find a morning market (wet market) and a night market. Breakfast was exquisite and delicious; I was not disappointed.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Yangren Street, and the almsgiving route passes directly by the hotel entrance. The hotel's French colonial architecture is also stunning, and there's a magnificent towering tree inside that's truly beautiful! Every time we entered or left, the front desk staff would greet us warmly, open the door, and even remember our room number – very well-trained. The breakfast was exquisite too, semi-buffet with excellent made-to-order dishes and beautifully presented. The coffee, in particular, easily outshines all the coffee shops on Yangren Street.

This hotel is known as a great, budget-friendly alternative to Amann. The ambiance is incredible, definitely giving off Amann vibes, and it's beautiful. The pool is also large. We booked a pool room and upgraded to a suite for just $40. A key highlight is that this is one of only two hotels in Luang Prabang that offers alms giving, the other being Amann. Plus, their breakfast is semi-buffet with an à la carte menu, and it's absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the salmon and banana toast.
