Simon and Daniela were exceptional friendly hosts for our countryside stay in beautiful Salzburg ! They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable!The rooms are delightful with large modern bathrooms and wonderful scenic patios ! The breakfast room is extremely efficient with quality offerings and they will happily prepare delicious eggs to order. Quick ten minute bus ride into the city center with a stop directly in front of the pension.We can't recommend Pension Ballwein enough !

We loved our stay at the Pension Ballwein and want to return again. Simon and Daniela were fantastic hosts and we really enjoyed their friendly hospitality. The location is just outside the bustle of the city and we greatly appreciated the tranquility and the views! It takes about 20 minutes to get here from the Altstadt using the 21 bus. Super easy and convenient. It was close enough that we chose to take a small hike past beautiful lakes and canals and walk all the way up to the Hohensalzburg. Truly lovely. The rooms have a rustic feel, but are wonderfully apportioned. The bathroom was large and very clean with great towels. The breakfast was plentiful and the family service made it very pleasant. A great way to enjoy Salzburg without needing to stay in the crowded city.

We stayed a week here in one of the self-catering units and we would highly recommend it. On an 18 night touring holiday we needed somewhere with laundry facilities and Pension Ballwein was an ideal location for us to explore Salzburg and the surrounding area as well as giving us the chance to do the required laundry. Check-in was very friendly; Danielle was very helpful and was able to sell us the Salzburg Card that we intended to use to explore the city, as well as pointing us in the direction of the greengrocer/butcher/baker/delicatessen across the road and the supermarket a few minutes drive along the street. There is a bus stop directly outside Pension Ballwein and our pass allowed us to pick up the bus into the city rather than driving. The accommodation was well equipped and although it didn't have air-conditioning, there was a floor fan which we moved between the rooms and it cooled the apartment sufficiently in a heatwave. The laundry facilities are in a communal area (there's a charge of 5 Euros per wash) as is the drying rack but that wasn't a problem for us. The accommodation is close to the airport but we were rarely aware of planes arriving and departing and even then it wasn't intrusive. I would highly recommend Pension Ballwein.

Our family enjoyed a lovely stay at Pension Ballwein Apartments. Simon and Danielle are wonderful hosts who look after all our needs. From the scrumptious breakfast each morning to the excellent tourist advice we had a very enjoyable stay. Rooms are very well appointed tidy and very clean. Bus stop is right at the door for a quick 20 minute trip to the centre of Salzburg - highly recommended

Ideale per le vacanze In famiglia . Zona tranquilla a 5 minuti di macchina dal centro . Davanti casa la pensilina con la fermata del tram . Una casa bellissimo , curata , con tutti i confort . Parcheggio sotto casa . La casa ideale per trascorrere in serietà le vacanze . Se torneremo a Salisburgo sarà sicuramente la casa che riprenderemo .

Davvero un posto molto bello, trasmette serenità, comodo al centro di Salisburgo,la fermata del bus è proprio davanti alla struttura. La famiglia Ballwein è davvero carinissima , super gentili e accogliente....anche con le loro bambine sono davvero una bella famiglia. La camera molto pulita e accogliente. La colazione è eccezionale. Ci tornerò sicuramente!!!
