The Atholl Palace

The approach to the hotel is lovely with large grounds which we explored later. We arrived early and our room was already available, which was great. Our room was spacious, warm and quiet with views over the grounds. The hotel is a short walk from town and we detoured via the duck pond. We chose to eat in the bar, which though busy, our venison burgers arrived in no time. The burgers were huge and delicious. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, though my porridge was rather dry. Only criticism would be the glass fronted fridge in our room. It had a light within it, so at night it illuminated our room. I had to cover the door with a towel to block out the light. (Ideally it should be in the room where the tea snd coffee are). Overall, very happy with our choice. Lot’s of character and friendly staff.

Beautiful and very comfortable hotel. The employees are very polite and friendly. I highly recommend it, I will definitely come back.

What a stay! The staff were wonderful, the grounds beautiful and the hotel itself breathtaking! Will stay here every time I return to Pitlochry!

Well worth booking a weekend stay. Amazing views. Great breakfast. Nice atmosphere in the hotel and friendly staff. The spa and amenities were also great.

Lovely break celebrating my mums 80th birthday.  Enjoyed use of the spa and tennis courts. Twin room small but very comfortable with a great view and lovely wallpaper.  Food in the bar and restaurant was delicious but a little pricey and not much choice for my fussy teenager.  Overall a nice relaxing time and we lucked out with the weather. Will look for special offers to return with my husband

Fabulous hotel, very clean everywhere. We ate in the restaurant which was great. All the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and courteous but genuinely interested in our wellbeing, nothing was too much trouble.

Beautifully situated hotel. Lovely grounds. Very picturesque. Rooms are dated. Staff pleasant. Due presumably to high demand as Braemar gathering the following day the cost was high. Had an early start so asked for packed breakfast which they were unable to accommodate but kindly offered a packed lunch instead; thus comprised of just a poor standard of pre packaged sandwich and a bottled drink. Unfortunately will not be back.  

Loved the hotel. A but of a steep return walk in the evening for oldies though. Facilities in the hotel are excellent as are the staff.
