Oriental Riverside Hotel Shanghai (Shanghai International Convention Center)

The hotel's location is excellent, close to everything, and the surroundings are great. The river view rooms are especially fantastic, right next to an art museum that seems to be quite popular. It's so convenient to take a stroll by the river or snap photos of Lujiazui in the evening. Dining and shopping are all within a 5-minute walk. The breakfast is also very rich, making it a perfect spot for a summer vacation. The only downside is that when I checked in on Sunday afternoon, I was starving and wanted to heat up some food using the microwave at the hotel lobby bar. The server told me it was broken, haha. For such a large hotel, a broken microwave could be replaced or repaired, right? Leaving it at the bar indefinitely seems odd. If it wasn't broken, then it's a customer service issue, and their basic etiquette needs urgent improvement! Luckily, I asked the neighboring main restaurant, and their staff kindly heated my food for me – thumbs up to their microwave! And guess what, when I left today, the 'broken' microwave was still sitting there.

The room was clean and well-maintained, and the facilities were definitely up to 5-diamond standards. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Due to a personal issue, the lobby manager even upgraded me to a river view room, which offered stunning views of the old Shanghai architecture across the Huangpu River. The river is even more beautiful at night! It's super close to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower – just across the road. The Pudong Art Museum right next to the hotel is also well worth a visit. I'd definitely consider staying at the Oriental Riverside Hotel again on my next trip to Shanghai.

The service was impeccable, making me feel right at home, with thoughtful touches evident in every detail. With morning light and charming evenings, a day spent here is truly worthwhile.

The hotel is right by the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Huangpu River, and it's also very close to the Disney Flagship Store. So if you didn't get everything you wanted at Shanghai Disney Resort, you can always finish your shopping there! We booked a river view room, and checking in during the day was such a pleasant surprise. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the beautiful Huangpu River view that I'd been dreaming of. It's so close to the Oriental Pearl Tower, which saved us the hassle of taking the subway or bus. The hotel service was professional, and breakfast was amazing!

The Shanghai Oriental Riverside Hotel (formerly Shanghai International Convention Center) is ideally situated on the Huangpu River, right at the foot of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. It offers stunning views across the river to Shanghai's famous Bund. Built in the late 1990s, it notably hosted the APEC conference. The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable, spacious, and bright – definitely worth a stay.

Excellent location with an impressive lobby and great service. It's right by the Huangpu River, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The riverside views in the evening are beautiful. Definitely a quality hotel worth staying at again.

The views are amazing, and the hotel's location is superb, right next to the Oriental Pearl Tower. The river view rooms offer breathtaking sights. The art museum is also very close by. The rooms are spacious and tidy, well-equipped, making it suitable for both business and leisure travelers. The service is prompt, and the breakfast spread is rich. While the price is a bit high, the views and convenience are definitely worth it. I'd consider staying here again next time.

The location is excellent, and the environment is beautiful. The only slight drawback was that it seemed like there was a conference happening during my stay, so the service wasn't as prompt as it could have been.
