YEHS Hotel Sydney Harbour Suites

I had a pretty good stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was also convenient and easy to get around from. Everything was pretty much as expected. Nothing too fancy, but overall it was a nice experience and I’d stay here again.

Broken elevators and unfriendly front desk staffs – Completely ruined my trip I stayed at Yehs Hotel Sydney Harbour Suites for 6 nights, and the experience was a complete nightmare. Upon arrival on Day 1, one of the two elevators was already out of service. To make matters worse, on Day 5, the only remaining elevator broke down as well. My family and I were assigned to the 16th floor. We went out for breakfast and returned at 1:30pm only to be told that we had to climb 16 flights of stairs to get to our room. Because walking up and down 16 floors was too physically demanding, my family couldn't even leave the room for dinner. I had to go downstairs alone, buy takeout, and walk all the way back up to the 16th floor. The front desk staffs merely offered me a single bottle of water, which felt like a complete mockery of our situation. Due to the non-stop stair climbing, my family member even suffered a foot injury. Even on our final day when we checked out, the elevator was still not repaired. The hotel only sent one staff member to help carry four 24-inch suitcases down 16 floors. Seeing how exhausting it was for him, I couldn't bear it and ended up carrying the luggage down myself. Furthermore, the front desk staffs (a male and a female, both wearing glasses) were extremely rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful. The hotel’s handling of this emergency was utterly unacceptable. What was supposed to be a pleasant vacation ended on such a terrible note, leaving us with an extremely bad impression of Sydney and this hotel.

This hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance to Town Hall, Woolworths and the main street filled with food. However it is below a hill so elderly must take care. The studio I stayed in was nice and clean but the facilities are dedicated quite old. The kitchenette had a bad smell. Fortunately I can close the sliding door to the bedroom so it is not affected. The price was very satisfactory. If you can overlook the age, this is an excellent property.
