Hampton Inn Rochester-Irondequoit

Consumer service Shantel was excellent , while checking us in she was very professional, and very helpful while I was checking in I ask her what was a good restaurant to go to that kid friendly and she gave couple suggestions even look some up and gave me name and addresses and I thought that so kind of her. The room was clean, anything that I needed everyone that work was very pleasant. The next morning for breakfast it must been some event because it was full of kids and the kitchen person I believe someone said her name was Kristie or krissy I’m not forsure but she did a wonderful job taking care of everyone need, making sure food was out without anyone really bringing it to her attention that she ran out, dealing with that many people I applaud her with the positive attitude and her professionalism. Thank you all for everything you did. I would be back again.

My experience at this hotel great. They provided excellent service. The rooms were very clean. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite. Breakfast was complimentary. It is close to a variety restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other family members.

The AC wasn't working in the lobby and hallways. They did have an Portable AC unit in the lobby. The staff were wonderful, friendly and very professional. The rooms were good, but we had to be moved because one of our beds were broken. My son just got out of the hospital and they quickly changed rooms, but no one offered to help us move. They did give us a discount, because of the hospital, but it was $20 less, which different hospitals - hotels offer over $50 less in Rochester. You have to have someone in that hospital. They also had an incidental fee to hold it and hopefully it comes off, the staff explained very thoroughly that it would. Both rooms, in this hotel, had things that I didn't see in the other room, there were some odd things about both rooms. But the good beds were comfortable, things seemed to work, there were odors. The pool was nice. The exercise room was clean and bigger than other hotels. the free breakfast was good, the staff were wonderful. Its not the best Hampton but its good.

Hampton Inns are dependable as being clean, good staff, good breakfast. Breakfast at this one was, for our three days there…well, weird. The first day the “hot breakfast” part was some gray turkey sausage patties and chopped potatoes. When I asked the cook what happened to the eggs and also waffles (make your own waffles is a Hampton Inn signature dish), she replied, “I cook what they give me.” Day two some egg white omelets that looked like red and green peppered empanadas were added. The few slices of bread were joined by some stale bagels. None of the usual assortment that includes muffins (English and others). Still no waffles. Day three was the same except oranges were added to the bowels of apples and bananas. And there were hard boiled eggs (if they can hard boiled them is it impossible to scramble them?) Waffles were a no show. Luckily Dunkin and iHop are minutes away.

The staff upon arrival was very friendly. Breakfast was also good and the staff very attentive ensuring that food was replenished as needed. However, the cleanliness of the room was extremely concerning. Our first room had stains on the bed cover. Hence our request for another room. Our second room had hanging blackout curtains, hair in the shower/tub, and stains on the shower curtain. Lastly, there was stale white tooth paste dried drippings down the sink counter. The lack of cleanliness makes this our first and last visit to this particular location.

My husband & I checked in to the Hotel. We were in town for family reunion. We could not get into our assigned room. Tried twice, green light was in. All of the sudden a subcontractor workers unlocks the deadbolt and opens the door! He was in the bed, listening to music!! My husband went down to front desk and informed them what had just happened and we did not want to sleep in the bed the worker was in or be on that floor. We were moved to different floor and different room. I met with Hotel General Manager very next morning. He assured me he would take care of things. At lunch time, we hear a knock at the door, someone’s putting a key in our door and walks in our hotel room! Same exact guy from day before!!! I confronted subcontract worker, went to front desk again. Called Hilton filed complaint, had to pack up and get out of their felt very insecure and unsafe!! Beware of this place!!
