이 숙박 시설에 머물면서 좋은 경험을 했습니다. 리셉셔니스트는 친절했습니다. 방은 깨끗하고 정돈되어 있었습니다. 특히 그날 밤은 저 혼자였기 때문에 잠시 동안 기숙사를 혼자 쓸 수 있었습니다.

Fabulous! hostel in the heart of Faro, easily reached via public transport from the airport & boosts the most helpful & friendly staff! The characterful building, has lovely communal areas, a good sized kitchen & nice 'chill' out areas to relax & meet likeminded travelers. Our 'private' dorm, was compact, but clean, and had a nice sized bathroom, great shower & a very comfortable bed. The hostel requests all guests respect their quiet times after hours, & this meant you could sleep peacefully. The location couldn't be better, with lots of nice bars, affordable restaurants and shopping nearby. The Marina & Old Town are within a 10min walk, and the hostel is close to a few local supermarkets nearby.

We booked a double room with en suite and breakfast included at £70 pn. The room was tiny with hardly enough room to pass each other and there was no breakfast or anything so you have to go out immediately upon waking. Having said that the room was clean and the bed linen good. The communal areas were decent with a well equipped kitchen and the front receptionists very friendly. Bathroom a bit odd with no hot water in the sink just a tap normally found in a public wc that goes off every 5 secs. If we had paid for a hostel dorm I wouldn’t complain …. But we didn’t.

A really nice hostel, very friendly staff, great kitchen and cinema room. Good rooms (with curtains) and toilets/showers beat my expectations. Location was good, wasn’t too far from anything. Price was good for the days we stayed. Would give it a 4.5/5 if I could. Faro can be a little boring as there isn’t too much to do.

Just wanted to thank Stella and Patricia for looking after my daughter when she was stuck down with a nasty bug! My daughter called me in a panic and didn’t know what to do as was travelling alone, she didn’t feel well, was scared and alone in a foreign country. I managed to find the number for reception and the staff were amazing, they checked on her, took her water and looked into getting a doctor or emergency treatment. Unfortunately there were no doctors available and emergency was 8 hour wait. Stella and Patricia supported my daughter to a local pharmacy where she was able to get advice and medication she needed. They both have her free food and drink and were an absolute godsend! It’s hard for parents when our children travel alone, but knowing there are people out there that are so kind and supportive is so nice to know. There really are some wonderful people out there, thank you so much xx

LAGE Das Hostel liegt sehr zentral und somit ideal für einen Städtetrip nach Faro. Sowohl Busbahnhof als auch Zugbahnhof sind fußläufig gut erreichbar. Mit dem Bus (Linie 16) kommt man für aktuell EUR 2,70 pro Strecke bequem in die City. Auch die Marina ist fußläufig gut erreichbar, wie auch die Einkaufsstraßen, die Ausgehmeilen und die Zone hinter der mittelalterlichen Mauern. Das Haus liegt gegenüber eines kleinen Stadtparks, umgeben von Wohnbebauung. Es führt zwar eine Autostraße vor der Tür entlang, jedoch ist dies keine Hauptstrasse. Wer wie (und mit) den Einheimischen preiswert essen und trinken will, findet um die Ecke direkt die Pasteleria Coelho, und in wenige Minuten Umkreis eben weitaus mehr Auswahl an Essen und Trinken. AUSSTATTUNG/SERVICE Das Hostel sieht insgesamt so aus, wie auf den offiziellen Fotos. Insofern habe ich davon keine Bilder gemacht. Das Haus selbst ist nicht barrierefrei. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Ich kam sehr früh an, durfte gebührenfrei mein Gepäck bis zum Check-in ab 15h neben dem Schreibtisch der Empfangsmitarbeiter aufbewahren. Einen eigenen, abgeschlossenen Gepäckraum gibt es nicht. Bei Check-in wird einerseits direkt die City-Tax verlangt sowie ein Pfandgeld in Höhe von EUR 10 für den Zimmerschlüssel. Tipp: Lasst euch die Bezahlung der City-Tax quittieren bzw. bestätigen, dass es im System vermerkt worden ist. Es ist ein älteres Gebäude, was man zwar ansieht, dennoch ist es innen gepflegt und sauber. Ich habe die Gemeinschaftstoiletten und -duschen nicht benutzt. Die Gemeinschaftsbereiche sind insgesamt groß und unterschiedlich möbliert; es gibt eine Dachterrasse, einen Innenhof, einen Seitenhof, innen eine große, saubere undgut ausgestattete Küche, etliche Sitzmöglichkeiten. Insgesamt sehr ausreichend Platz und recht gemütlich anmutend. Viele Informationen und Aushänge, Fotos, und Co. Toll auch: Es gibt einen großen Getränkekühlschrank, Bier zum Selberzapfen und eine kleine Kaffeemaschine – alles zu fairen Preisen. Wer es noch günstiger haben will, muss zum Supermarkt. Eine kleiner Markt („Minipreco“) ist mit min. 5 min. nicht so weit entfernt. Es gibt einen größeren („Pingo Doce“) min. 10 min. entfernt Richtung Markthalle. In der Markthalle selbst im Untergeschoss gibt es auch nochmal einen Supermarkt, ansonsten bis 15h eben die übrigen Markthändler. Ich habe die Küche und weitere Einrichtungen (z.B. Waschmaschine) nicht genutzt. Das Wifi ist kostenlos, ausreichend schnell und stark. Der Zutritt zum Gebäude erfolgt per Klingeln; der Empfang ist 24h besetzt, so dass einem dann geöffnet wird. Wenn ich es richtig mitgehört habe, gibt es auch abschließbare Schließfächer; man muss nur sein eigenes Vorhängeschloss mitbringen. Ich habe über die hosteleigene Website gebucht. Dadurch kam man an meine E-Mailadresse und meine Telefonnummer. Ich erhielt regelmäßig Mails und Whatsapp-Nachrichten (ich wurde in die Whatsapp-Gruppe automatisch aufgenommen) zu Koch-/Essens-Aktionen für Hostengäste (
