One&Only Reethi Rah Maldives is like a quiet gentleman who never "participates" in any marketing activities. Its prices remain fixed every year without any fluctuations, making it very stable and low-key. It holds less than 5% market share in the Asian market, with most guests being returning customers from Europe and America. 🔹Public Areas 🔸The shuttle service is very fast, and the bicycles are not too big. The vegetation in the public areas is also very lush. 🔸The spa is indeed 3,000 square meters. The kids' club is divided by age groups, with different activities for older kids. 🔸The sea view is needless to say, the lagoon is wide enough. 🔸Snorkeling is allowed in designated areas, suitable for beginners. 🔸The Beach Club is a great place to spend the whole day, whether playing in the water or watching others enjoy it. 🔸The sand near the sea is very comfortable, making you reluctant to leave when stepping on it. 🔹Rooms and Dining ▪️JMG made its name in the Maldives; the design from 18 years ago is very avant-garde, featuring water villas with horizontal layouts, floor-to-ceiling night lights, hooks for hanging clothes in the bathroom, adjustable hangers for clothes, and very large bathtubs. These details show great thoughtfulness. ▪️The maintenance is excellent with no musty smell. The last two photos are casual shots of details, showing a level beyond many new hotels. ▪️Every detail in the room is comfortable, with a lounge chair in front of the bed and an outdoor lounge chair—you won’t want to get up once seated. ▪️The room is equipped with simple fitness equipment and a versatile standing cabinet. ▪️Adapters are all provided, including body lotion, and if you bring children, a full set of kids' amenities is available. ▪️The restaurants are delicious; you won’t want to leave the main restaurant or the Japanese restaurant. Both the kids' menu and adult menu have generous portions. ▪️In the off-season, it’s very cost-effective: 2 beach villas upgraded for free to pool beach villas + 2 water villas, including breakfast and dinner for two at $7.1k+. 🟡There is only one Chinese staff member on the entire island, who is also a butler. 🟡The resort has been open for many years but is very well maintained and feels new. I am absolutely delighted with my stay at LUX South Ari Atoll. Having visited many other high-end Maldives resorts like One&Only, Milaidhoo, and OZEN Reserve, LUX has instantly become one of my favorites. The resort is beautifully and modernly designed, with stunning beaches, lovely villas, and stylish restaurants. The culinary offerings are diverse, with two buffet restaurants and four à la carte options, providing top-notch food and drinks! The all-inclusive concept includes access to four distinct restaurants and premium beverages such as signature cocktails and fine wines (e.g., Minuty, Lageder), ensuring a relaxing vacation experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I’d like to especially commend Anfal from housekeeping, who consistently surprised us with thoughtful decorations that made us feel right at home. Our butler Mira went above and beyond, fulfilling every wish and anticipating our needs, such as arranging a late check-out before we even asked. At the restaurant, Neema always greeted us warmly and took special care of our 3-year-old daughter with so much affection. Additionally, buggy driver Jaisham was always cheerful and playful, making such a positive impression that we took extra rides with him just because our daughter was overjoyed to see him. I wholeheartedly recommend LUX South Ari Atoll, even for the most discerning travelers, and especially for families.

The dining experiences were exceptional, each restaurant offering its own charm—from top-tier Japanese cuisine to fresh seafood and enchanting dinners under the stars. Even breakfast became a daily highlight. Attention to detail is remarkable across the resort. Personal bicycles outside villas, beautifully curated interiors, pristine beaches, soothing spa treatments, and countless activities enhanced the experience—snorkeling among vibrant marine life, paddleboarding in serene lagoons, or simply enjoying pure relaxation in paradise. What an incredible experience! This is hands down the best resort I've visited so far :). It wasn't just the breathtaking views and outstanding facilities but also the exceptional service and warm staff that made it unforgettable. The sea view on the island was absolutely stunning, with barely any seaweed visible in the lagoon. The scenery was awe-inspiring from every corner of the island, especially in your room. The rooms were spacious and super comfortable, and if you stayed in a beach villa, you’d get not only the room but a whole private area—it was enormous! The housekeepers were worth a special mention. Whenever we returned, the room was as tidy as brand new, and even my makeup was neatly arranged. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly kind and attentive. When I say all of them, I truly mean everyone—whether it was the restaurant staff, the lunch area team, the beach club crew, or the buggy drivers :p. And our butler, Yiting, deserves a shoutout! She always had a big smile and helped us tirelessly, doing her best to find anything we needed. Now onto my favorite part: the food! I loved the Thai omelette during breakfast and the yummy noodle soup. They even served honeycomb :p. My top pick for dinner was undoubtedly the Mediterranean restaurant—the "Gambas" were simply phenomenal! Honestly, you couldn't go wrong with any of the food there. I’ll definitely be coming back!

As an avid sports enthusiast, I can confidently say the island offers the best water sports of all the resorts we’ve ever visited—credit goes entirely to the amazing team. Their high-level service is unmatched—helping with everything from securing skis to teaching new skills and spreading pure joy. A special shout-out to Gato for his incredible instructions—follow his advice, and you’ll nail any trick. Beyond his expertise, Gato is incredibly talented with video shooting. The drone footage he captured for us was astounding, far exceeding anything we’ve ever seen. We also want to thank Thohtho for his inspiring demonstrations straight out of the water—his skill motivated us to push ourselves further. Together, Gato and Thohtho formed an exceptional duo, leading the most memorable trips, whether wakeboarding, water skiing, or exploring uninhabited islands. They thought of every detail—awnings, towels, water, and even organized a family photo shoot with perfect music and fantastic energy. These guys made everything unforgettable, from expert guidance to surprise dolphin sightings while wakeboarding. We’d also like to thank Shiyaan for consistently arranging the most incredible jet ski, boat, and banana boat tours. Each year, he introduces us to the Maldives' most stunning spots, capturing breathtaking photos along the way. Richte deserves recognition too for his warmth and care—his attentiveness is truly unparalleled, and he’s always ready to lend a hand. He didn’t fulfill his responsibilities, failed to inform us about events, and showed a lack of professionalism. This was disappointing, as we haven’t encountered such indifference at the resort before. However, during the second week, Taya replaced him and was a complete game-changer. Her proactive attitude, attention to detail, and efficient service made everything perfect. Thank you, Taya, for setting an excellent example!
