Nice place. Deep south Manhattan. About 5 minute walk from Staten Island ferry but very far removed from any other big event unless you want to hop on a train. Enough room for a bed, two bodies and not much else. Has window but just a view of the building next to it. Room was able to stay cool, it let's you set your own temperature for about 2 hours then it resets to default which is a little toasty, especially in hotter weather. Elevator is the fastest elevator I've ever riden in. Maybe 4 or 5 seconds to get from bottom to top if you get a straight shot. Biggest problem is the TV and it's services. You need to scan a QR code to use your phone as a remote and only when you're connected to the hotel wifi and it's very finicky. It also tells you that you can use chrome cast or airplay by scanning another qr code and just using a streaming service off your phone. This does not work. And I had to talk to 3 service people to figure out it just would not work. All of them were as helpful as they could be, just didn't know what was going on. Then I got lucky and caught someone who knew and they said it's an upgrade in the entire hotel chain system, not even that specific hotel. So until they finish it on their end then update that hotel casting to the TV isn't possible and isn't stated anywhere that it's broken. And no time frame when it will ever be back. So your only option using the TV is cable TV with your phone as the remote.

Hotel near Boerum Hill,New York
LLsly. 2025.01.11
Ace Hotel Brooklyn is very close to downtown Brooklyn. It was designed by the American design team Roman and Williams. The building is composed of metal, glass and precast concrete elements. The rough exposed concrete facade gives people a sense of Brutalist architecture. The interior space continues the characteristics of the building itself, combining exposed concrete and other natural texture elements. The combination of Douglas fir, olive and blue-gray resolves the boredom of too much wood in the space and adds some playfulness and modern feeling. Ace really understands the color matching. - The wood finishes in the public areas and guest room areas are all made of Douglas fir. It has to be said that the texture of the wood finish and the exposed concrete are a perfect match. The custom furniture is made of old wood and plywood. Custom furniture including outdoor flower beds and lamps all ”roughly” show the structural logic of the objects and show the beauty of the structure as much as possible. - In addition to the space design, soft furnishings and artworks are also important elements that make this hotel shine. The guest rooms are decorated with original textiles and fiber works from more than 20 local artists. The public spaces feature handmade wooden sculptures by artist Verdan Jakšić and large paintings by Tara Geer. The fireplaces in the living room and garden are surrounded by murals by Stan Bitter, and the exterior facade is also decorated with ceramic murals by the famous modernist sculptor Stan Bitters. - Every time I go to Ace Hotel in different locations, it brings me some aesthetic and design feelings. The topic of ”how to retain the strong characteristics of the brand while implanting elements adapted to local conditions” is really worth learning from Ace.

The hotel is generally good. In our case we stayed for one night to go to JFK airport the next day. The cleanliness is good, the reception is friendly, the facilities are normal. The room is simple too, it has a coffee maker and a small sink. The plus point is that it is not close to the train and the night is not noisy.

Overall the hotel was nice. Aesthetically the lobby, market area and courtyard were amazing & nicely designed. Would been nice if we were able to get a double bed but they were sold out. Also room service was a little slow on bringing items to the room that we requested. Overall the stay was great and location was superb for our needs. I’d definitely stay there again!

This is the second time I booked this hotel. The room is clean but a little small. The transportation is convenient. There are several subways nearby. There are many restaurants. There is a Chinese restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, which is convenient for ordering. There are also Macy's, Trader Joe's and Target next to the hotel.

WWHY-not_The room size is ok and there is no pressure to open the big suitcase The decoration is very new, relatively modern style, there is a very comfortable lounge chair, the hygiene is also very good, the front desk has a warm attitude, and the special price is very cost-effective It's a minute or two walk from the subway station. It's very convenient to buy a weekly pass, but there is no elevator in that subway station and it's not very friendly to suitcases. There is a supermarket nearby and there are no security incidents.

IIliaExcellent service: fast check-in, attentive staff and daily high-quality full room cleaning. The hotel offers unlimited hot drinks 24/7. The most necessary medicines at a reasonable price. The room is spacious, hygienic, newly renovated. Comfortable bathroom. 3-5 minutes walk to the metro, 10 minutes to the legendary Coney Island. For Europeans, the WIFI speed left much to be desired, but this is a US feature. For NYC the price per room is reasonable. I recommend visiting.

They did have  The room itself was very small. It came with a king bed which made it even smaller. There was no closet available other a place to hang hangers. Only one drawer was provided to store personal items and a tiny refrigerator. Although useless the room had a very nice tv but no WiFi so you were relegated to watching four channels.
