Great location in Kandy, with an amazing view over the lake. You are in a green oasis away from everything behind locked gates. It is very old school colonial feel, we loved it. It used to house prime ministers and dignitaries up till mid 2010’s, it does feel very stately. Our room was clean and tidy with a huge bed. Our door did let noise through as it was the original but we had no issue with excessive noise. Sisila and Kasun are so attentive and will do their utmost to make your stay perfect. We booked one night as we were passing through Kandy, we only wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the property and gardens.

Lovely stay in Kandy, it's a 128 year old bungalow on a hill with a spectacular view. Sisila and Kasun are the best hosts who cater to your every single need. Their hospitality is outstanding and they made us feel at home.

Stunning location overlooking Kandy We were travelling as two couples and had the place to ourselves, so it felt very special. The beds were very comfy.. We were treated to a Sri Lankan smorgasbord of delights in the evening & a very filling breskfast the following morning. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Yes, a little faded in parts but it didn’t detract from the charm at all. One of the loveliest places I’ve ever stayed and very good value for money. We’d definitely stay again.

This is a very unusual and quirky place where the staff went out of their way to please. Our triple room was huge and comfortable and breakfast excellent. It is a little bit of faded colonial grandeur. The only reason it’s 4 star and not five is that the doors to our room had big gaps and noise traveled through them. One door in particular did not feel secure and we had noise come through from other guests in the lobby. The infinity pool was small and cold but with an amazing view.

We had an amazing stay at Castle Hill in Kandy as a family of five. This was without a doubt one of the most beautiful places we stayed during our trip. The hotel is absolutely stunning, with beautiful rooms that were comfortable, charming, and perfectly suited for our family. The views from the hotel were the most beautiful we have experienced so far. The peaceful surroundings, together with the breathtaking scenery, made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy Kandy. The garden is truly beautiful and very well maintained. We were also pleasantly surprised to discover the swimming pool, which offers an incredible view over the surrounding landscape. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and served outside, allowing us to enjoy the amazing view while starting the day. What made our stay even more special was the hospitality. Everyone who works here is incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend Castle Hill to anyone visiting Kandy. It is a beautiful place with unforgettable views, wonderful people, and an atmosphere that made our stay truly memorable.
