This was my second trip to the Maldives, and I chose this resort because I heard there were lots of fish and great snorkeling. After 7 days and 6 nights, I can confirm the snorkeling was indeed fantastic. I'm not a strong swimmer, but there were so many fish right near the shore, and not just small ones. It was my first time seeing stonefish, moray eels, and reef sharks. They were every color imaginable, truly a sight to behold. Plus, since it was May, the southwest wind was blowing, and the reef channel was on the northeast side, so the current wasn't too strong. Even with a 30km wind, you could swim quite far out. The rooms were a bit old but very tidy and clean. The food was a pleasant surprise. Dinner was delicious, and the desserts were tasty. The curry was excellent, and one night we had Chinese duck that was even better than duck in Hong Kong. The fish sashimi was okay, but they did overcook the fish. However, the last resort I stayed at also overcooked their fish until it was dry. For a 4-star resort at this price point, I think it's incredibly good value. Where else can you find a place for around 1,200 per person per day? The service staff were all male. I had heard before that their service wasn't great. At the restaurant, they'd tell you where to sit without giving you a choice, and they were slow to clear plates. But I didn't let it bother me. Some of them were still very friendly and helpful. The pool water quality wasn't good, so forget about swimming in fresh water. The airport transfers were unassisted, which could be tricky for first-timers. The seaplane journey was the best part – a quick 30-minute ride, being the first stop on the way there and the last on the way back. The seaplane wasn't cheap but acceptable because of the proximity. I have no regrets about going again; it was all for the snorkeling. Full of wonderful memories. If you're looking to relax at a resort, don't go; but if you want to snorkel and see fish, then this is the place.

Nice island and good facilities. We liked the freely roaming canary and egret birds! Food was good, house reef was nice. However, we think there were some minor issues (e.g. AC noise, staff attitude) that could be improved.

Very small island. Not much variety in food choices. Almost same menu everyday. Mostly German tourists come here. Good diving and snorkeling spots all around. Difficult to get hot water for shower. Would not visit again.

My experience was good for the first time in the Maldives but should have spent the extra to stay at another nicer island. Limited amenities - access to shop - had to pay for water - got tripped up a few times by them offering water and then getting charged… not cool - felt like a fishing island ran by men more then a resort style island. Vibes weren’t great 50% of the time as in attention to the customer aka making your stay feel fab. Charged extra tax for activities and not informed only found out when I paid the bill which put a dampener on the experiences. Couple before me questioned the extra costs also when checking out. Would stay closer to Mali next time or The Conrad… stopped there on the plane for a drop off and pick up and man that place looks amazing!!

We have just returned from a terrific holiday in Angaga! The island is beautiful, the food is excellent with a great variety to choose from. The staff were amazing - too many to mention individually, but each of them from the waiters in the restaurant and bars and the room staff were brilliant! - Many thanks to you all. The boat excursions were excellent - we went on the Manta trip and were lucky enough to see several mantas although of course, this is never guaranteed. Snorkelling was beautiful with lots of marine life to see and explore One suggestion for Angaga to consider would be to have 'tip boxes' in and around the various areas of the island. There are too many staff to tip everyone individually and also the kitchen and garden staff etc appear to miss out on tips which we feel is very unfair as they all do a great job. Our thanks to all who made our holiday just perfect! We hope to return again soon - thanks again from George & Julie (124)

This Island is the smallest I've visited in the Maldives been many times to other islands but I must say it was absolutely beautiful, my son came with me and I was worried he'd be bored as never been to the Maldives before how wrong I was he loved every second of it ,he didn't want to leave so much in fact he is already looking at going back next year . The food was lovely and plentiful, staff were so friendly and helpful always smiling , a very big shout out to the lovely lads that worked in the bar so friendly and chatty. Thanks everyone on Angaga we had an amazing time .If you are thinking of going to the Maldives for a holiday don't hesitate go here .x

This was our 18 time to the Maldives and did not disappoint!! We loved the budgies, and the gardens beautifully maintained by a really lovely man who bid us a good morning every day. Staff were wonderful super polite and attentive. Our waiter in the restaurant Ihshad was really lovely and provided me with a whole pot of coffee every morning!! Our room boy also exceptional although I don’t know his name, we had beautiful bed decorations for our anniversary and my birthday. Spa was amazing and reasonably priced. Unfortunately we missed the whale sharks on our trip so we are going to have to come back to see them. The island organised trips were reasonable however the dive school trips were not . $250 for the whale shark trip was excessive and of course you are not sure to see them!! Overall a beautiful island snorkling adequate but lots of coral bleaching again this is not the islands fault. We returned fully relaxed and chilled which is what we needed. Be back to see the sharks!!! Thank you all for making our holiday so special x
