Paro Taktsang སྤ་རོ་སྟག་ཚང་། is perched on a cliff over 900 m high in theParo Valley, at an altitude of 3,120 m. The temple was built in 1692, experienced a major fire in 1998, and was subsequently restored. Visitors generally need to be accompanied by a guide to enter and tour the interior of the temple. Because the temple is built on a high mountain cliff, the journey is quite strenuous, and hiking up usually takes about 2 hours. Horses are available for transport (reference price $20–$30); you can consult your guide if needed. However, even if you ride a horse up, it is very bumpy, and on some sections, you may even need to lie flat on the horse's back to avoid falling off, while you will still need to hike down on your own. Paro Valleyis covered with dense vegetation, the air is pure and fresh, and the scenery is beautiful, with prayer flags fluttering from time to time. You will pass two observation decks on the way up the mountain. From here, you can see a group of white buildings on the misty mountain cliff in the distance, like a fairyland; that is Paro Taktsang སྤ་རོ་སྟག་ཚང་།. If you look closely, there are also a few buildings on the higher mountain peak, which are places for monks to practice in seclusion. After resting for a while, continue hiking and arrive at the observation deck, which is a great spot for photos. You cannot ride a horse beyond this point; you will need to walk the rest of the way along the stairs. A waterfall hangs in front of the gate of Paro Taktsang སྤ་རོ་སྟག་ཚང་།, with water flowing over layers of rocks into a deep pool. When following a guide to enter the temple for a tour, you need to take off your shoes, and all photography equipment (including mobile phones) cannot be used.Bhutan · Paro

Punakha Dzong has unique murals that are not found in other temples in Bhutan, so it is called a super beautiful Dzong. Another unique thing about it is that it was built according to the appearance of heaven! Legend has it that the builders of Punakha Dzong gathered craftsmen who were very famous at the time and ordered them to make it look like paradise. While the craftsmen were thinking hard, the builder took them to heaven to draw drawings, so Punakha Dzong became the depiction of heaven on earth, and you won't find any nails between any two pieces of wood.Bhutan · Punakha

The National Museum of Bhutan is located in Paro, an important town in western Bhutan. It was originally used as a "Pagoda" as a watchtower of Paro, and the wall is two and a half meters thick. Later, the Bhutan government changed it into a museum in 1968. The collection of cultural relics in the museum is very large, with more than 3,000 cultural relics. Moreover, it is a cultural relic in itself, which contains various utensils, weapons, musical instruments, Buddhist sculptures, old scriptures, thangka paintings and stamps, etc., especially stamps. Wait, to the foreign celebrity series, from Diana, to the series of human civilization and technology development, to the human landing on the moon, everything.Bhutan · Paro

Paro Dzong Fort is also called Riqing Pong Dzong Fort, which means "jewelry pile on the fortress". It is one of the most famous temples in Bhutan and a representative of Bhutan's classic architecture. Once used as a fortress to defend the Paro Valley, it stands tall above the town of Paro and is very conspicuous. It is like other dzongs in Bhutan. This is the location where the Bhutanese movie "Little Living Buddha" was filmed, and it is also the location where Tony Leung and Carina Lau's wedding dresses were filmed.Bhutan · Paro

The National Monument was built on the vision of His Majesty Jigme Dorje Wangchuck, the third king of Bhutan, the father of modern Bhutan. After the pagoda was completed in 1974, he unfortunately passed away. This is a monument built not only to commemorate the late king, but also for world peace, and it is also a place where the daily turrets of Thimphu people are concentrated.Bhutan · Thimphu

The most sacred temple in Bhutan is one of the top ten super temples in the world. The Tiger's Nest Temple is located on a 3,000-foot cliff in the Paro Valley. The Tiger's Nest Temple was first built in 1692. After a fire, the temple was severely damaged and rebuilt in 1998. The Tiger's Nest Temple is now strictly prohibited for ordinary tourists to enter, and even the entry of believers is strictly restricted.

A small country that lives in peace with the world. It seems very familiar. It is quite similar to Tibet. The transportation is really inconvenient.

The zoo is located in a very peaceful area of Thimphu town. The nature and mountain surrounding the zoo is beautiful. The air is out and fresh. It is a great place for relaxing and taking time off from big city life. The draw back about the zoo is only Takin is there. It is truly a unique animal but wish the zoo kept more animals like deers and peacocks.
