The Roland Fountain, also known as the Maximiliánova fontána, was built during the period of Maximilian II. It is located in the central square of the old city and is one of the monuments in Bratislava. Devin Castle is located in the outskirts of Bratislava and marks the border between Slovakia and Austria, where the boundary extends from west to east along the Morava River to the Danube River. During the Cold War, this site was on the front line of what the West called the "Iron Curtain." Although open to the public, the surrounding area remained a restricted military zone, enclosed by heavily guarded watchtowers and barbed wire. It was only after the Velvet Revolution that the castle area became a demilitarized zone. The ancient castle is built entirely of brick and stone, and following renovations, it has become a unique, vintage-style landmark.

St. Martin's Cathedral is famous because 11 monarchs (10 kings and Queen Maria Theresa) and 8 queens were crowned here, and one can still imagine the grandeur of that time from the church's decorations.
