Table Mountain

Table Mountain is a highly recognizable natural landmark in Cape Town, famous for its distinctive flat-topped shape. The summit plateau stretches approx. 3 km from east to west, surrounded by steep cliffs and precipices, resembling a giant stone table spanning above the city when viewed from afar. The mountain, together with Devil's Peak to the east and Lion's Head and Signal Hill to the west, forms a natural arc-shaped mountain array embracing Cape Town's city center, while the Twelve Apostles extending southward along the Atlantic coast create a continuous chain of cliffs. The highest point of Table Mountain is located at the eastern end of the summit plateau, at an elevation of about 1086 m, and is marked by a stone triangulation beacon — the Maclear Beacon, built by the astronomer Sir Thomas Maclear in 1865. At the western end of the summit is the upper cable car station; the cable car line opened in 1929 and is one of the main ways to reach the top. Platteklip Gorge is a popular hiking route, and as early as 1503, explorers were already climbing Table Mountain along this path. Table Mountain is located in the heart of the Cape Floristic Region, where the vegetation is dominated by sclerophyllous shrubs and supports a large number of locally endemic plants. When the southeast wind prevails, the summit is often covered by orographic clouds, creating the famous "tablecloth cloud" spectacle — clouds cascade down from the flat summit like a white tablecloth, a representative natural phenomenon of Table Mountain. In 1998, Table Mountain and most of the natural areas of the Cape Peninsula were incorporated into Table Mountain National Park, managed uniformly by South African National Parks, and it sits within the city limits.

Bo-Kaap

Bo-Kaap is located at the foot of Signal Hill, right next to the Cape Town city center. It is one of the city's oldest residential neighborhoods and the heart of Cape Malay culture. In the 1760s, Dutch colonists built a series of rental houses here for slaves and laborers brought from Malaysia, Indonesia, and various parts of Africa. These residents later became known as "Cape Malays." They put down roots and thrived, gradually forming a unique community. The neighborhood's most striking feature is the rows of brightly colored houses lining the cobblestone streets. During the rental period, all houses were required to be painted white. A popular legend about the origin of the colors is that after the slaves were emancipated and allowed to purchase property, the residents painted their facades in vibrant colors like pink, sky blue, bright yellow, and emerald green to celebrate their freedom. The neighborhood's architecture blends Cape Dutch and Georgian styles, preserving a large number of buildings from before the mid-19th century, which hold an important place in South Africa's early architectural heritage. The tiered stone steps built into the hillside connect the various streets and alleys, which have now become paths for visitors to explore on foot. The area is home to several historic mosques, including the Auwal Mosque, which was built in the late 18th century and is a representative example of early mosques in South Africa. Cape Malay cuisine blends Malay and local South African flavors, and traces of this unique culinary tradition can also be found throughout the neighborhood.

Cape Point

Cape Point is located at the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa and is part of the southern section of Table Mountain National Park. It is known for its steep cliffs over 200 m high and spectacular ocean views. It is often romantically referred to as the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, although the officially recognized geographical dividing point is actually at Cape Agulhas to the east. Standing on the cliff top and looking out at the subtle changes in water color where the currents meet is one of the unique experiences at Cape Point. The iconic view in the scenic area is the two lighthouses. The old lighthouse was built in 1860, but because its location was too high, it was often obscured by sea fog, so a second lighthouse was built, which is still in operation today. Although the old lighthouse is no longer used for navigation, it has become a viewing platform for visitors. This area belongs to the Cape Floristic Region, and more than 1,000 plant species have been recorded in the Cape Point area alone, with over a dozen being endemic. In terms of wildlife, you will often encounter troops of baboons, antelopes, and Cape mountain zebras along the way. If you are lucky, you can also see ostriches strolling on the beach, and over 250 bird species have been recorded. This stretch of sea has long been known for its treacherous winds and waves, and two navigational crosses set up by the Portuguese government are still preserved in the area. The sea breeze at the top of the cliff is strong, and it can be quite chilly even on sunny days.

Travel with a tour group to Cape Town, South Africa, and take a yacht to Hout Bay to see seals. Seal Island is also a famous tourist attraction on the Cape Peninsula, with thousands of seals living on the island. In order to protect the seal habitat, tourists are prohibited from going to the island. There are special yachts at the pier to take tourists to watch, slowly circling very close to the island, allowing us to watch the seals hunting, playing in the water, and living up close. The bottom of the yacht's interior is equipped with glass to view the underwater world.

The Malay area is mainly inhabited by Malaysians. There are many Malaysian-style restaurants here. Walking here, it feels like being in Kuala Lumpur. The customs and habits of the Malays are still preserved.

Due to its wide harbor and deep water, Hong Kong, China is also known as the "Pearl of the Orient" and "one of the three major night views in the world". The name of Victoria Harbor comes from Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. People can enter and exit freely all year round. In the early years, the British saw the potential of becoming an excellent port in East Asia. Later, they seized Hong Kong from the Qing government and developed their maritime trade in the Far East. Victoria Harbor has always influenced Hong Kong's history and culture, dominated the development of Hong Kong's economy and tourism, and is one of the keys to Hong Kong's becoming an international metropolis.

Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦【Cape Point】 Cape Point (Afrikaans: Kaappunt; English: Cape Point) is a cape in the southeastern corner of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa, located about 2.3 kilometers east of the famous Cape of Good Hope. Neither Cape Point nor the Cape of Good Hope is the southernmost point of the African continent: Cape Agulhas, about 150 kilometers southeast of the Cape Peninsula, is the southernmost point. Cape Point and the surrounding area are within Table Mountain National Park in South Africa. Cape Point has a lighthouse at an altitude of 87 meters, visible from 63 kilometers away. ⚠️The Cape Point is the side with the lighthouse; the Cape of Good Hope is the southernmost point, the side with the sign.

Chapman Road in the suburbs of Cape Town is the most beautiful cliff road in the world. The entire road is carved out of the cliffs, with the vast blue sea on one side. Driving on this road is really refreshing. This is not only a must-see attraction in Cape Town, but also a filming location for many commercials. Many high-end car commercials that you have seen were filmed here, which is really shocking.
