As night falls and the city lights up, the enchanting architectural illumination of Venice Water Town evokes the charm of Shanghai's Huangpu River. The uniquely styled Bruges walls and the European-style castle buildings lining the canal banks create a picturesque reflection on the water. Dalian Laohutan Ocean Park

4.4/5

29.2k reviews

Dalian Laohutan Ocean Park is located on the southern coast of Dalian, nestled between mountains and sea with a winding shoreline. This marine-themed park primarily showcases ocean animals and performances while offering coastal scenery. Its five venues each have highlights: the polar zone houses beluga whales, polar bears and penguins in simulated polar environments, with beluga and dolphin shows as main attractions; the happy theater features humorous sea lion and walrus performances that delight both adults and children; the marine mammal pavilion, shaped like a pirate ship, hosts playful seals and sea lions; while the coral aquarium displays colorful reef creatures and dreamlike jellyfish to recreate an underwater world. If you want to visit the bird forest to see birds, you can take the cross-sea aerial cableway to overlook the scenery of tiger beach bay and the southern coast from above, then arrive at this large semi-natural artificial birdcage. Blue peacocks, red-crowned cranes, egrets, parrots, and other birds freely engage in activities among the trees. Strolling through it feels like walking into a valley bird park, where you can occasionally come face-to-face with the birds up close. The park also features sea sightseeing boats, a 4D theater, a root carving art museum, and amusement facilities like the family-friendly Jurassic happy island. The tiger sculpture group is also a popular photo spot. When tired, you can relax on the beach, feel the sea breeze and watch seagulls circling overhead. A small reminder: animal shows at each venue have limited time slots. Check the daily schedule upon entry to plan your visit order and avoid missing desired performances.

Dalian Sunasia Ocean World

7.3

4.5/5

19.8k reviews

Dalian Sunasia Ocean World is located in Xinghai Park, next to Xinghai Square. It is one of China's early-built immersive ocean-themed parks, featuring a signature underwater tunnel over 100 m long. The venue consists of five main areas: Ocean World, Polar World, Coral World, Galaxy Star Sea and the Amazing Tower, along with three major shows: the romantic mermaid fairy tale water show "Romance at Dolphin Bay," the dual beluga underwater performance "Legend of the Beluga," and the hilarious human-animal interaction show "Sea Lion Splash." All venues are within walking distance, making it ideal for a half-day or full-day leisurely visit. Featured viewing products include: the Antarctic penguin breeding base - Antarctic penguin island. The attraction keeps track of the latest trends in theme parks and the needs of travelers' consumption experiences in real time, continuously updating and improving its software and hardware. It integrates cultural and creative living, ocean-themed dining, specialty hotels, and entertainment and leisure experiences into a marine-themed "Dalian's urban living room," operating 365 days a year. The ocean world is the park's long-standing main venue. From the shark cave and discovery story corridor all the way to Havana avenue, the entire route is designed as an adventure journey "from land to the seabed and back to land." The underwater tunnel where sharks, rays and schools of fish swim overhead is a highlight for most visitors. The dolphin bay love story performed in the venue is a romantic mermaid fairy tale water show featuring dolphins, beluga whales and mermaids sharing the stage. The beluga legend in the polar world is a fully underwater performance by two trainers and beluga whales, while the sea lion fun show entertains the audience with the sea lions' hilarious interactions. All three shows have fixed time slots, so it's recommended to note down the schedule upon entry and plan the venue visit accordingly. The polar world gathers polar animals such as beluga whales, arctic wolves, arctic foxes, and spotted seals. Among them, the antarctic penguin island is a penguin breeding base, where gentoo penguins and king penguins gather in groups. From late summer to early fall each year, they enter the breeding season, offering a chance to witness penguin courtship, egg incubation, and even chicks hatching. Galactic Star Sea transforms the entire venue into the spaceship "Shengya," executing the "Galactic Star Sea Project." Beyond polar bears, sea lions and otters, visitors can also encounter land animals like capybaras and raccoons, with most allowing interactive feeding. The penguin tunnel is a popular photo spot, making it ideal for family trips. The coral world has been revamped with a tech-inspired theme, featuring hundreds of coral reef ecosystems paired with LED screens, touchscreen guides and holograms. The "Amazing Tower" showcases Dalian's coastal culture through murals by Chinese contemporary artist Wen Na, interspersed with interactive tech experiences. If time is limited, prioritize the performance-packed ocean world and the highly interactive Galactic Star Sea. Coral world is an immersive aquarium underwater garden that combines coolness and wisdom, perfectly pairing high technology with ancient marine life. It features over 100 coral reefs, fish and other biomes from around the world, six core sightseeing areas, high-tech LED screens, touch-guided tour systems, holographic imaging and other digital multimedia technologies, taking travelers on a "fun" journey to explore a different kind of scientific ocean. The Holy High Tower begins with a mural, serving as an artistic and entertaining "Holy High Tower," and it also has a very cool English name: HOLY HIGH. It empowers tourism through art, featuring trendy artist Wen Na, who creates cultural theme products for the attraction based on mountain and sea culture. By utilizing existing vacant architectural spaces and rationally adjusting the layout, it perfectly presents Dalian's distinctive "mountain and sea culture" through mural art. This allows travelers to appreciate contemporary Chinese painting art while enjoying fresh and exciting technological experiences. Guided by the working spirit of "innovation, pragmatism, service, and loyalty," with "serving society" as its corporate mission and "market-oriented, rule-of-law, and internationalized" as its business philosophy, Dalian Sunasia Ocean World adheres to the principle of "providing travelers with high-quality tourism products and services." It continuously focuses on venue facility upgrades, new business format planning and construction, and innovative tourism project design, gradually evolving from a traditional aquarium to a comprehensive marine cultural tourism industry chain. This builds a diversified, all-day Sunasia industry matrix, driving the transformation and development of attractions across Dalian and contributing to creating a new chapter of high-quality economic and social development for the city.

Dalian Golden Pebble Beach National Tourism Resort is located in the northeast of Dalian City. It is surrounded by the sea on three sides and has beautiful scenery. It is suitable for tourism from May to October every year. There are many attractions here. You can go to Discovery Kingdom Theme Park for a day, or go to Binhai National Geopark to appreciate the strange rocks, or take your children to the beach of the Golden Coast. After exiting the express rail station, you can go to the tourist service center next to it to buy tickets. Tickets for each attraction in the resort can be sold separately. If you want to visit multiple attractions, you can also buy a package ticket, which is much cheaper than buying them separately. You can take the sightseeing loop bus next to the light rail station to reach various attractions, and you can ride them Unlimited with the ticket. Discovery Kingdom Theme Park is not far from the light rail station. You can take a special bus from the tourist service center to the main entrance of the park. Discovery Kingdom is a famous theme park in Northeast China with many large-scale amusement facilities. Among them, the "Crazy Cobra Roller Coaster" and the "Heaven and Earth Rotating Roller Coaster" are very thrilling and worth experiencing. It basically takes a day to play in Discovery Kingdom. To the south of the Discovery Kingdom theme park is the Gold Coast, a 5-kilometer-long beach with a wide view. The clarity of the sea water and the quality of the sand here are better than those of the beaches in the city. You can take a sightseeing train from the tourist service center to the east coast of the Gold Coast. Binhai National Geopark is located at the southeast end of the Golden Pebble Beach Resort and is a photography resort. Here you can enjoy various peculiar boulders formed by rock deposits and a large number of paleontological fossils hundreds of millions of years ago. They stand on the seashore, some of which are shaped like stone monkeys watching the sea, and some are like rocs spreading their wings. You can take a sightseeing loop bus to the park. There are many hiking sections in the park, so pay attention to the steps and steep slopes. The above are the attractions in the resort that are worth visiting. In addition, there are also attractions such as the Golden Stone World Celebrity Wax Museum, the Golden Stone Beach Geological Museum, the Mystery of Life Museum, and the Film and Television Art Center (Xu Beihong Art Museum) in the Golden Stone Beach Resort. Most of them are concentrated near the light rail station. If you have purchased a package and have plenty of time, you can go shopping. There are many hotels and restaurants Souvenir the light rail station and the streets one kilometer east of the light rail station. The consumption here is not much different from that in the city. There are short-distance buses in the local area, which makes travel convenient. What travelers say about Dalian

健康快乐的小紫October 18, 2026

I came here because of its reputation, and the environment is indeed very nice. It's quite close to the beach and has parking. There are many European-style buildings inside, some are restaurants, some are creative shops, some are photography studios, and there are also banks, theaters, art galleries, etc. If you just want to see the scenery, a stroll around would take one or two hours, depending heavily on the weather; good sunshine makes for great photos. The creative shops are also worth browsing. It's a very relaxing place, but I didn't have time to visit anything else. Judging from the overall design, the night view should be amazing. If you want to take a small boat, just let them know in advance, otherwise the driver won't point out the camera location, and the photos won't be good.

Xinghai Bay has become a family paradise! Dad took the child to fly a kite, and mom and grandma took a walk in the square. My brother and I found a milk tea shop and watched the figures of our family. When the lights came on in the evening, the whole family sat on the steps and watched the night view of the bridge. The child leaned on the old man's arms, feeling so warm that he didn't want to leave.

The square's spacious walkways are ideal for cycling or leisurely walks, and the sunset paints the sea with breathtaking colors. The Ferris wheel isn't great at night, but it's quite nice during the day. It's an old amusement park; the roller coaster and Cobra ride seats are peeling. Dalian Fisherman's Wharf covers an area of nearly 60,000 square meters and boasts a 1,768-meter-long coastline. Natural beaches are located on its west and southeast corners, while a 280-meter-long pier stretches along its south side. The concept of Fisherman's Wharf originates from Europe and America, representing a nostalgic European-style leisure and a unique port city culture. The wharf is a comprehensive and distinctive themed commercial area integrating sightseeing, entertainment, culture, dining, shopping, and vacationing.

It's definitely worth experiencing the feeling of being between the mountains and the sea. The scenic area is well-designed, with boardwalks, stone steps, and karst caves formed over hundreds of millions of years. You can also get close to the sea and feed seagulls on the beach. There are several rest areas, and the prices are reasonable for a scenic area.
