Since this itinerary is a Chinese-speaking group tour (without an English tour guide), if you require an English tour guide, you can contact customer service after booking to pay the price difference and upgrade to an English private tour, which will give you a better travel experience!
After meeting at a designated location in downtown Kunming in the morning, board an air-conditioned tour bus along the Shantou-Kunming Expressway to the Stone Forest Scenic Area, a World Heritage Site. Centered around a 270-million-year-old karst landscape, you'll visit the iconic Jianfeng Pond and Lotus Peak in the Big Stone Forest area, where you'll experience the majestic and precipitous sword-shaped peaks. You'll then travel to the Small Stone Forest area, where you'll visit the legendary Ashima pictograph stone and hear stories about the Sani people. (Electric car rides within the scenic area are at your own expense; the recommended fee is RMB 25 per person.)
In the afternoon, we will move to Dianchi Lake, known as the "Pearl of the Plateau." Upon arrival, you can explore at your own pace, following the lakeside road to the Haigeng Dam. In winter, you can observe tens of thousands of Siberian red-billed gulls soaring in the sky and experience human-gull interaction by feeding them special gull feed. In summer, you can stroll through the wetlands and admire the magnificent scenery of Dianchi Lake. The silhouette of the "Sleeping Beauty" mountain in Xishan Mountain complements the surrounding lake and mountain scenery, creating a unique ecological landscape in Kunming. (Boat rides within the scenic area are at your own expense.)
The tour concludes with the group disbanding at Dianchi Lake.
