Depart in the morning from the meeting point in Edinburgh city center, heading northwest and passing by Stirling Castle. A brief rest stop will be made in the Callander area. Depending on the season, you might even spot Highland cows. Continue the journey through Rob Roy's homeland, crossing Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to reach the famous Glen Coe. Stop here for photos and to soak in the atmosphere of the glen. Proceed past Loch Linnhe for lunch in the Fort William area. Then head to the Great Glen, passing Ben Nevis. Travel through the picturesque Fort Augustus to reach Urquhart Castle. Here, you can choose to join a 1-hour Loch Ness cruise (additional cost) and visit Urquhart Castle (additional cost).
