Lijiang Group Day Tour to Tiger Leaping Gorge+White Water Terraces: Step into a Wonderland
The Tiger Leaping Gorge is located in the upper reaches of the Jinsha River, straddling between Yulong Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain. It is one of the deepest gorges in the world. Renowned for its "perilousness, uniqueness, grandeur, and magnificence," the narrowest point of the river is only 20 meters wide, with a drop of 213 meters. The roaring waves crashing against the rocks create a thunderous sound, forming a breathtaking spectacle of "raging waves splitting the shore." The hiking trail within the gorge is hailed as one of the "Top Ten Classic Hiking Routes in the World." Along the way, snow-capped mountains, turbulent rapids, and deep gorges intertwine, offering a perfect blend of adventure and natural beauty.
The White Water Terraces are located in Sanba Township, Shangri-La City. They are China's largest cold spring-type freshwater carbonate travertine terraces, situated at an altitude of 2,380 meters. Due to the decomposition and precipitation of calcium carbonate in the spring water under sunlight, layer upon layer of white terraces have formed, resembling "terraced fields left by immortals" and earning them the reputation of being the "Chinese version of Pamukkale." This place is the birthplace of Dongbaism, the indigenous religion of the Naxi ethnic group. The annual "Chao Baishui" (Worshiping the White Water) ritual, held on the eighth day of the second lunar month, has been carried on for centuries, boasting profound cultural heritage.

7:00 Depart from Lijiang Old Town
Please make your own way to the designated meeting point before 7:00 (Boarding location: near the Lijiang Old Town ).
Note: Before departure, our staff will contact you in advance to confirm the specific departure time and location. Any changes will be notified in advance. Please keep your contact information accessible.
Then,you will take a bus for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive at The Shangri-laTiger Leaping Gorge. The tour here lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, excluding the cost of elevator rides (hiking is recommended). In the event that the scenic area is closed, the admission fee will be fully refunded.
Afterwards, you will take a bus ride of about 40 minutes to The White Water Terraces for a visit lasting approximately 2 hours.
Upon completion of the itinerary, you will take a 2-hour and 30-minute bus ride back to the original meeting point, where the group will automatically disband.
