Officially opened in 1909, it is one of China's best-preserved modern military academies. It nurtured two marshals, Zhu and Ye, and is renowned alongside the Baoding Military Academy and Whampoa Military Academy as one of the three great bassinets of modern military talent. Designated as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 1988, its main structure features a square courtyard with yellow walls and red windows in the traditional "Zouma Zhuanjiao" style, with a 480-meter-long corridor. Now housing the Whampoa Military Academy History Museum, it displays weapons, uniforms, and historical documents.
