Pantheon 🏛️ must visit place in Paris 🇫🇷
#europetrip
The Panthéon in Paris was an incredible historical find that transported me into the depths of French history during my 2023 journey! 🇫🇷 With an entrance fee of 12 euros, it was a small price to pay for the grandeur and stories held within.
Upon stepping inside, the sheer magnificence of the interior left me in awe. The neo-classical architecture, the towering dome, and the majestic frescoes felt like a tribute to art and history. 🏛️
Being the final resting place for influential figures like Voltaire, Rousseau, and Marie Curie, the crypt below exuded a mix of solemnity and awe-inspiring reverence. 💫
The Foucault Pendulum at the center of the dome was a mesmerizing sight. Observing its swing, demonstrating the Earth's rotation, added a touch of scientific wonder to the experience. ⏳
Though the climb to the top was a bit of a workout, the breathtaking view made it all worthwhile! The panoramic sight of Paris from the terrace was picture-perfect - the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, and the Seine, all laid out like a masterpiece. 🌆
Next to the Panthéon, the Luxembourg Gardens provided a peaceful escape where I could unwind after delving into history. 🌿
The Latin Quarter surrounding the Panthéon was a labyrinth of charming streets, bookstores, and cafes. It was the ideal place to soak in the Parisian ambiance after an immersive historical exploration. 📚
Pro tip: Plan your visit to coincide with one of the informative guided tours - they bring the stories behind the monuments and mausoleums to life. 🎟️
In the Latin district on the left bank of the Seine in the center of Paris, there is a temple permanently commemorating French historical celebrities - the Pasian Temple. She was originally a church built in the Louis XV era of Saint • Geneva, after being nationalized in 1791, gradually separated from religious color and changed to a cemetery where the secular "great men" were buried, especially with scientists mostly entering the ground, visitors can see many familiar characters in history textbooks. The graves, such as Voltaire, Rousseau, Curie, Hugo, Dumas, and so on. In a sense, the French sages are like the Great Britain's Westminster Cathedral, but she is secular, more scientific and artistic. The spirit of modern France is evident here.
Le Famous Humanities Attraction: The Pantheon' This is a neoclassical building that mimics the Roman Pantheon, so it is also called the Paris Pantheon. The Pantheon is dedicated to the most prominent figures in French history, such as Voltaire and Rousseau, Paul • Langzhiwan and Curie, Victor • Hugo and Dumas, etc. It is the supreme honor of the French to send the ancestors into the palace. Since its completion in 1791, only 77 great people have been buried here for more than 200 years. There are also several stone monuments on the walls of the main palace. Individually promote the celebrities who have influenced French history with their ideas or achievements, including the one carved in 1967 by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, the author of "The Little Prince", and the inscription is Poete, romancier, aviateur, disparu au coursd'une mission de reconnaissance aé rienne, le 31jjuillet 1944 (poet, novelist, pilot, Missing on a reconnaissance mission on July 31, 1944). This sentence, though brief, summed up the wonderful and legendary life of Saint Exupery. Tribute to the Great Gods!
Located in the Latin Quarter of Paris, France, originally the Cathedral of Saint-Nyévier, built by King Louis XV, has become the most famous cultural and celebrity burial site in France after several changes. Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Curie and Dumas were buried here. The Pastor's Palace is an early model of neoclassical architecture, with its facade modeled on the Pantheon in Rome and its vaulted Bramante style
Visited while there was an art exhibition inside, this building is breathtaking. Paintings are beautiful and well maintained. The undergrounds are well articulated with lots of explanation. Definitely a place to visit while in Paris.
I really like the Fu Ke pendulum in the sage.
