The collection includes Vermeers' "View from Delft" and "Girl with a Pearl Earring", Rembrandt's famous work "Dr. Tour's Anatomy Lesson" and other masterpieces, as well as works by Rubens.</p><p></p><p><br></p><h2><strong>(3) Parliament Building and Knights Tower</strong></h2><p>The castle built in the 13th century was the residence of the Dutch earls and became the parliament building of the Netherlands after the 16th century. Since 1446, it has been the meeting place of the Dutch Parliament (Staten-Generaal) and has been the political center of the Netherlands for many centuries.</p><p></p><p><br></p><h2><strong>4. Leiden</strong></h2><p>Leiden is a university town with the oldest university in the Netherlands. There are 12 museums in the city. It is also the place where the famous painter Rembrandt was born and studied.</p><p>Main Attractions:</p><h2><strong>Highland Church</strong></h2><p>Originally a wooden chapel, it was built on December 20, 1314 by order of the Catholic Bishop of Utrecht. Later, as Leiden's population grew and its economy prospered, the current Gothic church was completed in 1391 (the cloister was completed in 1415).</p><p></p>
