Relive the filming experience on this half-day tour. Visit the filming locations for "The Sound of Music" in Salzburg and the surrounding countryside. Listen to songs from the original soundtrack during your tour. Learn about the architecture and historical landmarks of the city and its picturesque lake district. See Leopoldskron Palace, the exterior of which once housed the Trapp family, where children rowed boats on the lake and jumped into the water.

Maria is a novice at Nonnberg Abbey, one of the oldest monasteries in German-speaking Europe and the next stop. The opening scenes of St. Gilgen and Lake Wolfgang were actually filmed at Lake Fuschl on the way to St. Gilgen, where you'll see St. Gilgen. The wedding scene was filmed at Mondsee Cathedral, a cream-yellow and white building that will be a stop on the tour.
