Lake Tekapo is located between Christchurch and Queenstown, in the heart of the Mount Cook Basin and MacKenzie. There is a small town on the south side of the lake, sparsely populated, with snow-capped mountains in the distance, like a paradise. 1. As the glaciers in the Southern Alps melt into the lake, the rocks in the glaciers break into fine powder, so the color of the lake is a milky blue. 2.
