Depart Edinburgh and cross the Queensferry Crossing to the Kingdom of Fife. As you head north, the scenery changes from the rolling farmlands of the Lowlands to forested hills and mountains, becoming more dramatic as you approach the Highland Fault line. On the banks of the River Tay you'll find the pretty cathedral town of Dunkeld. A stop here gives you the opportunity to explore the architecturally stunning cathedral or wander the quaint streets of this picturesque village. From here it's just a short drive to the Hermitage where you can take a wonderful woodland walk to Black Linn Falls. After leaving the Hermitage you will follow the broad valley of the River Tay to the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry. You will stay here for approximately an hour so you can visit the many wonderful shops or have Lunch. After Lunch you will take a scenic drive through the mountains of Highland Perthshire, stopping briefly at Queen's View overlooking Loch Tummel. On a clear day the view is Standard Price as it looks out to the distinctive peak of Schiehallion and the Glencoe range beyond. From here you’ll travel to the town of Aberfeldy and Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery**, where you can discover the secrets of how Scotland’s national drink is made. After enjoying our 'water of life', the tour takes you back down into the lowlands, back to Edinburgh. *Itinerary and winery visits are subject to change. **Please note that the Dewar Aberfeldy Distillery will be closed on Tuesday 5th March 2024 due to staff training. Unfortunately we will not be able to visit the distillery. We will be visiting Glenturret Distillery instead. We apologise for the inconvenience.
