Day 1Take a stroll through the pretty village of DunkeldTrying to find the Loch Ness MonsterYou'll travel north from the Firth of Forth to the charming Highland village of Dunkeld. From there you enter the Cairngorms National Park and the ancient pine forests of the Rothiemurchus estate. After Lunch you will head to the famous Loch Ness, where you will stop at the village of Dores to enjoy panoramic views of the loch and try to spot the "Loch Ness Monster". You'll then travel to the shores of Loch Broom, spending two nights in Ullapool. Day 2Visit the ruins of Ardvreck CastleAdmire the pristine beaches of Achmelvich BayToday you will explore the remote North West Highlands and the Assynt Mountains, an area renowned for being the first arable land purchased by local farmers, the Assynt Crofters' Trust. Immerse yourself in the history of the area and visit the ruins of the 15th-century Ardfreyck Castle, once a stronghold of the MacLeods of Assynt. The day is filled with stunning views of ancient European landscapes, including the stunning white sandy beach of Achmelwich Bay and the traditional fishing village of Lochinver. You will spend the night in the picturesque fishing village of Ullapur. 3rd dayFind out how palm trees came to be in PlocktonDrive one of Scotland's most beautiful routes, the Bealach na Ba RoadYou'll travel south to explore the dramatic 60-meter waterfall of the River Droma tumbling into the Corrieshalloch Gorge. From there you pass the mountains of the Beinn Eighe nature reserve and the picturesque coastline of Loch Torridon. After Lunch stopping at Applecross, you will drive one of Scotland's highest and Standard Price exciting roads, Bearnamba. In the afternoon you will stop in "tropical" Plockton, where you can see palm trees growing beside Loch Carron and enjoy its peaceful beauty. You will then head to the Isle of Skye and arrive at the charming port town of Portree. Day 4Get to know the Isle of Skye's heroic landscapeSpend an evening in the charming town of PortreeToday is a flexible day on the Isle of Skye; your driver- Guide will ensure you choose a unique route based on weather, local Activities and the interests of Group. You can travel to the Trotternish Ridge in the north and beyond. There you'll find geological wonders like the Senior Man of Storr, Kilt Rock and the spectacular Quiraing Pass. Or your Guide might take you back in time, teaching you about the legends and clan culture surrounding Dunvegan Castle, the 13th-century home of Clan MacLeod. You will return to Portree in the evening. Day 5Photograph one of Scotland's "popular castles", Eilean Donan CastleTravel through the mysterious landscape of GlencoeYou will travel south from the Isle of Skye to visit the famous Eilean Donan Castle. Continuing east through the rugged mountains of Kintail, you'll pass Glen Garry and pass Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, on your way to Fort William for Lunch. After Lunch you will explore spectacular Glencoe, site of the infamous massacre of Clan Macdonald in 1692. You will then begin your journey back to Edinburgh.
