Since 1929, the Museum has also served as place of remembrance for the many Aucklanders who have sacrificed their lives in war. Whether you have an hour spare or a whole day, visit Auckland Museum to gain a deep understanding of New Zealand culture and heritage. PLEASE NOTE: Te Marae Ātea Māori Court & Pacific Galleries are temporarily closed until further notice due to essential maintenance work.
