6:30 AM pick-up from hotels within Chengdu's Third Ring Road [Bipenggou, average altitude about 3,000 meters, approximately 4 hr of visiting time, admission ticket 80 CNY/person, sightseeing bus 60 CNY/person, round-trip golf cart ride within the attraction 60 CNY/person]. It is a renowned domestic destination for autumn foliage viewing, featuring a large-scale pristine eco-tourism scenic area that combines original ecological view exhibitions, mountain trekking, polar exploration, skiing, ice skating, and leisure vacations. The attraction boasts diverse maple leaves and azaleas, primeval forests, cascading waterfalls, and unique glaciers. Bipenggou is famous for its beautiful natural scenery, perfect ecological landscape, and excellent environment. Day 2: Heishui - Dagu Glacier - Chengdu
After breakfast, head to Dagu Glacier. [Dagu Glacier, elevation 2,300–4,860 meters, recommended visit time: about 5 hours. Admission ticket: 120 CNY/person, sightseeing bus: 70 CNY/person, cable car: 180 CNY/person.] This rare modern mountain glacier is another premium attraction developed in Aba Prefecture after Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, shining like a brilliant pearl in the Da Jiuzhai International Tourism Zone of Sichuan, China. The snow-capped peak of Dagu Glacier remains covered in snow year-round, presenting a majestic sight with its staggered peaks glistening under sunlight. The northern and southern slopes feature modern mountain glaciers 60–200 meters thick, with the most spectacular sections being the three main glaciers—No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3—covering an area of about 8.25 square kilometers and formed over hundreds of millions of years, serving as the soul of the entire attraction. The glacier area boasts excellent environmental preservation and a complete combination of natural resources, including not only modern mountain glaciers but also waterfalls, lakes, primeval forests, vast rhododendron groves, and scattered meadows. Wildlife sightings are highly frequent here (especially golden snub-nosed monkeys), often bringing unexpected delights to visitors. Around 1:30 PM, begin the return trip to Chengdu, covering approximately 300 km (about 6 hours by road).
