After being picked up from your hotel in Cusco, drive to Moray, located 38 km from the city. Admire the scenic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys during the 1-hour drive.

Arrive at Moray, an extraordinary archaeological site known as an Inca agricultural laboratory. This unique structure comprises four circular terraces, or "muyus," with the deepest reaching 80 meters from the top terrace to the bottom.

Each terrace, with diameters starting at 36 meters, experiences temperature variations of 0.5 to 1.5 degrees Celsius, allowing for the creation of up to 20 distinct microclimates. These unique conditions allowed the Incas to experiment with diverse crops.

Following Moray, continue to the salt mines of Maras. This remarkable site features approximately 3,500 small salt pools, each producing between 50 to 80 kilograms of salt per month.

Fed by an underground saltwater spring, the natural evaporation process here has been used for generations, producing Maras salt, renowned globally for its quality. After your visit, return to Cusco.
