Auckland: Segway Tour to Mount Victoria

Meet your instructor at the Ferry Ticket Office in the Devonport Ferry Terminal. Sign in, store any bags you want to leave behind and have a helmet fitted. If you haven't ridden before, do some training on various terrains which will have you confident to start the tour.

Begin the tour by riding along the waterfront and the grassy slopes to practice riding over different terrain. Enjoy some free riding time in a local park before venturing through the back streets to Cambria Reserve. Cambria Reserve is the location of an old quarry now planted out to make the perfect park. At times, see trees full of the native bird, the Tui, enjoying nectar from the trees. Stop at points of interest to learn the history and local anecdotes from the tour guide. 

After exploring Cambria Reserve, glide on a Segway to the summit of Mount Victoria/Takarunga, the highest volcanic cone on Auckland's North Shore. Enjoy 360-degree views of Auckland City and the Hauraki Gulf from the summit. Before European settlement, this volcanic cone was a Maori Pa Site, a fortified village where the Maori made their home. In the 1880s, European settlers transformed it into a fort to protect Auckland against enemy invasion. With such a great view, there's time for photos and some fun among the iconic mushrooms.
