In the morning, depart from your hotel in downtown Chengdu by comfortable private car for the Maobiliang Observation Deck. Your first stop is the Maobiliang Observation Deck, situated at an altitude of 3,400 meters. This natural viewing platform offers a panoramic view of the four peaks of Siguniang Mountain (Dafeng 5,355 meters, Erfeng 5,454 meters, Sanfeng 5,664 meters, and Yaomei Peak 6,250 meters). Walk to the 1.2-kilometer waterfront boardwalk at Sigunacuo, where the turquoise water weaves the reflections of dead trees and travertine textures into an abstract painting, and you may even encounter a green-tailed rainbow pheasant skimming across the lake. Then, travel to Longzhucuo to explore the travertine-encased "hanging root forest," where the scientific boardwalk reveals the ecological secrets of the plateau's thriving and withering sea buckthorn trees.
