How to use
[Installing eSIM]
※ If you're using an iPhone and have upgraded to iOS 17.4 or later, you can install the eSIM with one-click via the Trip.com App. Open the Trip.com app > Go to Account > All Orders > Tap the "Activate" button. (If you can't proceed, please ensure the App and iOS system are updated.)
 
※ Scan QR Code / Manually Input eSIM Information for Installation:
1. Open the QR code attachment in the Trip.com APP order, and print or save it to another device in advance. (iOS 17 and later, as well as some Android phones, can save the QR code image directly to the phone.)
2. Open the Cellular Network settings (iOS) or SIM Card Management (Android).
3. While the phone is connected to a network, tap "Add Cellular Network" (iOS) or "Add SIM Card Management" (Android), then scan the QR code to install.
4. If QR scanning doesn't work, manually input the "SM-DP+Address and Activation Code" from the order voucher to install.
5. If step 3 or 4 fails, it's possible that the phone is locked to the home network carrier (unable to use other carrier's frequency bands). You will need to contact the carrier to unlock it before using eSIM.
 
[Using eSIM]
1. Turn off the main SIM card and turn on the eSIM network switch.
2. Enable Cellular Network (iOS) or SIM (Android).
3. In Vietnam, dial 900 and press 1 after 10 seconds to activate the plan.
4. If you are still unable to access the internet after the above steps, set the APN and restart the device. See below for more details.
 
[About APN]
1. If you purchased an eSIM covering multiple countries/regions, upon arrival in a new region, if you can't connect to the internet, please manually switch the APN (normally, it should switch automatically).
2. Settings Path: Cellular Number > Cellular Data Network, or Mobile Network > Mobile Data Network, or Mobile Services > Mobile Data Network.
3. Enter APN: m-wap.
4. Restart the phone.

Important note

[eSIM Requirements]  

Device must support eSIM functionality: Dial *#06# on the dialing screen. If EID is shown, the device supports eSIM. If no EID is displayed, eSIM cannot be used.  

Device must be unlocked: Confirm with the carrier whether the device is locked to a specific network. Please ensure the device meets these requirements before purchase for proper eSIM usage.


[Setting up eSIM]  

Please install and activate the eSIM after arriving at the destination while connected to the network. Installing the eSIM in a non-destination country/region may cause the eSIM to become invalid or cause usage time to be calculated prematurely.  

If installation issues occur, please refer to the usage guide.


[Enable Data Roaming]  

Ensure the "Data Roaming" option is enabled for the eSIM.


[Network Information]  

Signal quality may be affected by factors such as location, terrain, building obstructions, number of users, and weather. Actual connectivity depends on the local carrier's coverage. If 5G is unavailable, the device will automatically connect to 4G/LTE.


[Hotspot Sharing]  

Hotspot sharing is supported, but due to device differences, it cannot be guaranteed that all devices will be able to share.


[Do not delete eSIM after installation]  

A QR Code can only be used on one device. After installation, it will be bound to that device and cannot be transferred to another device.
