The first night cruise departs at 7:40 PM, followed by another cruise approximately every 10 minutes (departing when full at 8 minutes). The cruise lasts about 30 minutes. If you're lucky, you might catch a performance boat (earning an extra flute tune). Passengers over 60 years old get a discount of about 30 RMB when buying tickets on-site. I didn't pay attention when booking... I only bought adult tickets. After leaving, I took a Didi (ride-hailing service) to explore Jinli Ancient Town... which was fine (not far).
