Reviews: Vietnamese Cooking Class & Market Tour – Free Pick-Up, Unlimited Wine & Recipe Book Included

Great chef and awesome introduction to Vietnamese cuisine. However, my experience was a bit hampered because of the family from Hong Kong with kid/s below 10 years of age (I thought the event was only for those at least 10 years old). The kids were running while we were cooking and I was afraid they might run over the hot pan and may spill the oil. The family also didn’t pay for the father’s participation but he ate a lot (even including the spring rolls which the kids ate a lot of). Otherwise, the recipes were great.

The reception staff were all friendly and helpful, and after soaking in the bath and steam sauna, I received a massage, which was incredibly relaxing. This was my second visit, and the buffet was a bit disappointing.

The service and itinerary were excellent. However, I booked a tour with a Chinese-speaking guide and paid a higher price, but there wasn't one available on the day of the tour. Although they were very considerate of me, I should be aware that I booked a tour with a Chinese-speaking guide. Guests who need English or other languages should take note.
Reviews: Hair shampoo & Head Massage
Guest User2025-06-27
The technician sister's skills are very good, much better than the experience in Taiwan, the favorite hot stone massage part, overall is very good; The fly in the ointment is a bit embarrassing that my seat is just at the door, there is a small part of the curtains that can not be pulled, the glass from the outside can be seen, but it seems that they did not find out, please ask me to change clothes directly. Then the curtain of the compartment will not be pulled up during the shampoo process, others can see, shy people may be more uncomfortable. Finally, the counter service staff took the initiative to ask if they were willing to tip. In fact, the overall service is good and I feel good. I am willing to give it, but the various places that deduct points are really uncomfortable.
Reviews: Hanoi Cooking Class with Market Tour – Learn Pho, Banh Xeo & Nem Ran in a Peaceful Villa
Guest User2025-09-28
I don't think this program is suitable for those who want to "become able to cook Vietnamese food properly." This is because cooking is mainly explained verbally, and participants ultimately work in teams, so it's not like you can learn everything on your own. The session I participated in didn't include the pho banh xeo nem ran that I had anticipated. Instead, when we gathered on the day, I was told, "Today we'll be making green mango salad and bun cha." I wanted to learn pho personally, so in that respect, my goal wasn't fulfilled. I was also a little worried about communication. I had difficulty communicating until the day before, and even though I had requested contact via WhatsApp, I received an email, but no reply even after replying. Finally, I noticed the WhatsApp number in the email and contacted them directly, and I was finally able to participate. On the other hand, the cooking experience itself was fun, and the time spent interacting with the other participants, touring the market, and sharing Vietnamese culture was very interesting. Therefore, I felt this program was more of an opportunity to enjoy cooking through international exchange and cultural experiences than a place to "master cooking." I was satisfied with the content itself, but since you don't get any recipes, I think people who want to recreate Vietnamese food at home would be better off finding another way.
