The overall itinerary was somewhat rushed due to Japanese driver service time regulations. The Takayama leg of the trip was particularly tight, mainly because completing a meal and a full visit to the Takayama Jinya (traditional Japanese houses) within two hours was quite strenuous. Two hours was more than enough for the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri village. The tour guide was very professional and nice, and his explanations were quite interesting. The group members came from all over the world, with mainland Chinese tourists making up about 10%, making it a very international team.★

You'll receive a tour notification the day before departure, including the vehicle number, tour guide's name, and meeting point. Our tour guide this time was Mr. Yan. Seeing that my family member had mobility issues, he thoughtfully arranged a seat in the first row for them. The company's schedule was reasonable, the scenery was beautiful, and the Japanese driver was both fast and steady. This day trip was very enjoyable and fulfilling.★

This is a free-roaming tour, perfect for those who want to explore independently with family and friends. When it's time to return, the guide will not accompany you. He's very punctual. The pick-up point is not far from the hotel.★

The driver was very kind and drove steadily. The tour guide was excellent; I listened attentively the whole way. In the morning, we visited Takayama and ate Hida beef, which was delicious. In the afternoon, we went to Shirakawa-go, which felt like stepping into a fairytale world. I'll definitely come back in winter next time!
