It was a really cool tour! There were just the two of us. First, Monika explained the butterfly garden and the surrounding area to us, then we went on a kayak tour, which was very nice. We learned a lot and saw many beautiful birds. Afterward, we went for a swim in the river and received valuable tips from Monika. Then we headed back, and to finish off, we had some delicious fruit, much better than the ones you'd find in the supermarket! All in all, highly recommended!

It was a fantastic excursion. We were picked up right at the harbor entrance, as arranged, and driven directly to the Tortuguero Canals. We could have easily made a detour anywhere along the way. Alberto, the guide, was very attentive. On the way to Maratopia Garden, we stopped at Bonita Beach for Reina's coffee. At Maratopia Garden, Markus and Monika gave us a warm welcome and provided wonderful information about the native plants and especially the blue morpho butterfly. A truly beautiful memory!

Timothy is a really great guide. We saw so many animals. If we had visited Cahuita National Park on our own, we would have seen almost nothing. He explained everything very clearly and in a really engaging way. We were also able to take photos through his monocular. 6 out of 5 stars. Muchas gracias!

Juan Carlos was an amazing guide! He and our boat pilot were incredible at spotting wildlife along the river. He gave so much information about Costa Rica as we drove, did a great job leading the hike in Cuhuita National Park, and even added in a few extra stops including a supermarket for local candy and coffee and a restaurant that has a great view of the city and cruise port. We highly recommend this trip and Juan Carlos in particular!


