Reviews: Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine and Fine Wine

Excellent experience; our best outing in Rome! Lisl kicked off the event. She taught the group about authentic Italian pestos, cheeses, truffles, and prosecco as we tasted samples of each one and sipped more and more prosecco. Feeling a little wine-happy and getting to know one another, we relocated to a restaurant where we learned the art of pasta making from a patient and skilled chef—imagine trying to keep 16 noisy and fun loving people on task. It was like a party of friends. But we did it. We made pasta and tiramisu. The day was topped off enjoying more wine and plates of our own beautiful homemade ravioli, and fettuccine followed by cups of our own tiramisu. Do not leave Rome without participating in this best of all outing.

The variety of the food stops on the tour was super and fun - even if you are familiar with Italian cuisine. Fabi shared lots of contextual information extending beyond the food experience, too. The tour agency has ties with many of the vendors who were given a heads up when to expect us. One word of strategic advice --- there are plenty of opportunities to stuff yourself with really good food as the tour progresses. .... so save some appetite for the gellato stop which is last.

This was a wonderful tour. Massimilliano was our driver and was great! Valentina was a fantastic sommelier and full of information, knowledge and wonderful stories! We definitely recommend it and will be back next time when we come with friends.
