2 Dec 2025 > High speed rail to Huanglongjiuzhai Station was full, so we booked the train to the old Songpan Station. This train is new with blue velvet seats, business class has smaller cabin compared to other trains, it has 6/7 rows of 3 by 3 seats. We were lucky to get the last row which is 2 by 2. Had a good enjoyable ride. We travel to China every year to different part of the country. It is difficult & stressful to buy a train ticket online 1/2 month in advance as the tickets were only released 2 weeks before our trip & December is consider a peak season for foreign visitors. Can you imagine if we couldn't get the train tickets & already booked the air tickets in October. Worse scenario is to pay $$$ for private car with driver. Car ride will takes about 1-1.5 hours longer time than the train. Train is still the best choice especially travelling with old folks or handicappers. Strangely cab driver said there should be plenty of train seats, as the locals don't travel in winter.★

Out driver was very nice. He treat us well. But this tour only provide you from pick up point then send you to the entrance of the national park and leave you to explore the national park by yourself. No one can understand english. so, good luck.★

Thank you for arranging the journey of 24-25! Jiuzhaigou Haizi is shining like a gem, clear like a mirror, and the Huanglong Caichi is gorgeous. Although it is not fully seen, it is a treasure. The tour guide carefully introduces the attractions, caring for the family, the driver's eldest brother drives steadily and enthusiastically, helping to carry the luggage is super warm!★

The driver was very steady and provided excellent service, proactively closing the doors when we got in and out. He introduced local customs and attractions along the way and reminded us of important travel tips. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and the driver sent us his location in advance to make it easy for us to find the car. He also contacted us beforehand for the return trip and was very punctual. Overall, a fantastic experience! Jiuzhaigou is beautiful; every photo you take is stunning.★

Jiuzhaigou is great, but it's probably impossible to see everything in one day. I had accommodations in Chengdu, so I made a day trip. Staying in the Jiuzhaigou area for a couple of days and exploring the area wouldn't be a bad idea.
