We booked the full-day safari with hotel pickup and entered the park right at 6:00 AM. Our driver Ishan was fantastic, always in touch with other guides and making sure we saw as much as possible. By 11:00 we had already spotted an amazing leopard. Breakfast was traditional Sri Lankan, and for lunch we enjoyed 5 authentic dishes while the park was closed to new visitors. (This break is mandatory by the park itself) We stayed until 5:00 PM and had countless wildlife encounters, finishing with elephants up close and even a tusker. A truly memorable day with great guiding, delicious food, and unforgettable wildlife sightings. Highly recommended.
