Here, you'll have a truly therapeutic and intimate encounter with the gentle and adorable capybaras.
Stepping into Moffu Cafe, you'll be immediately captivated by its vibrant atmosphere. A corner is thoughtfully designed as a stone-built "capybara hot spring," the capybaras' favorite resting spot. You can see several fluffy capybaras comfortably soaking in the shallow water, or huddling together in small groups for warmth. Their languid expressions seem to have banished the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
Even more amusingly, to add to the fun, the owner playfully places little yellow ducks or blue toys on the heads of the bathing capybaras. These adorable scenes are sure to be a highlight on your social media.
Besides observing them in the hot spring area, you'll also have the chance to interact with the capybara up close. Watch as this capybara sits upright by the hot spring, its big, round eyes curiously looking at the camera – it looks incredibly cute! If you're lucky, it might even come over to you and peek out to greet you. You can also buy "Capybara Treats," specially designed for the capybara, and hand-feed these adorable little guys. These treats are usually served in special mugs filled with their favorite fresh leafy greens.
