Atlantis Sanya

Located in Haitang Bay, Sanya, Atlantis Sanya is themed around the mystery of the lost continent of Atlantis and brings together a water park, an aquarium, marine animal interactions, and resident performances in one place. It is an ocean-culture-themed vacation destination, ideal for family-friendly households to take a few days to experience at a leisurely pace. Atlantis Water World is the main event of the day: climb the towering Poseidon's Tower and plunge down slides like "Leap of Faith" and "The Drop," while the "Shark Tunnel" slide takes you through a shark tank tunnel where you can see sharks through the glass; the park also features a rushing lazy river and a splash area for kids, so the whole family can have fun. The Lost Chambers Aquarium is centered on the Ambassador Lagoon. Standing before the giant transparent viewing wall over ten meters high, tens of thousands of marine creatures swim past in schools, beluga whales gracefully flick their tails in the water, and the mermaid performances and feeding fish from a crystal glass boat with a transparent bottom are also quite popular; the adjacent Dolphin Bay is an open-air habitat for dolphins and sea lions, where you can choose interactive programs by age and get up close to these ocean spirits. In the evening, the long-running C Show is staged at the C Show Theater; the water stunts and lighting effects on the three-dimensional stage spanning water, land, and air are a reason many families specifically stay. On your itinerary, it is recommended to visit the water world during the day and explore the aquarium or watch shows after dusk; this route is more relaxed and helps you avoid the midday sun.

Nanwan Monkey island Eco-tourist Attraction Zone

7.5
4.3/5
1.9k reviews

Nanwan Monkey island Eco-tourist Attraction Zone is located on the Nanwan Peninsula in Lingshui, Hainan. It is a tropical island-type macaque nature reserve surrounded by the sea on three sides, consisting of two areas: Monkey Island Park and Daidai Island. Watching wild macaques here is a unique experience that distinguishes it from most coastal attractions in Hainan – over a thousand macaques inhabit the dense forests on the island, and visitors often encounter monkey families along the walking trails. In Monkey Island Park, macaques chase and play among the greenery and branches, utterly unselfconscious. The monkey viewing pavilion, the highest point on the tour route, offers a panoramic view of the island's forest and surrounding sea. During hot weather, the "Sacred Bath Pool" becomes the macaques' water park, where you can see them swim, dive, and even go diving. Macaque acrobatics and humorous skits are regular long-running performances in the park, providing lighthearted entertainment. There are two ways to get to the island: take the cross-sea sightseeing cableway to soar over the sea, or take a boat from the pier and transfer to a shuttle bus to go up the mountain. The over 2000 m cableway takes approx. 6 mins for a one-way trip. The cable car glides over the sea surface, offering a view of the clustered fishing rafts of the Tanka people in Xincun Port below—this "floating market" with its stilt houses and fishing boats forms a typical Tanka fishing port scene, which is a major highlight when taking the cable car to the island. Daidai Island is located in the coastal area of the peninsula's southwest, adjacent to Qingshui Bay to the west and facing Wuzhizhou Island across the sea. The several-km-long beach and coconut groves are dotted with props like ancient boats, colorful beach chairs, canopy beds, and swings, making it a hotspot for photo ops. The giant reef "Divine turtle exploring the sea" divides the beach into two sections, and the black sand beach, a rare sight, can be seen on the side of South Bay. The macaques on the island are not afraid of people. Please keep your food in your bag. Feeding and photo-taking must be done under staff guidance using the special food provided by the attraction. If you plan to experience the cable car, it is recommended to start early to avoid long queues.

Thrilling attractions: The Thrill Ride, Leap of Faith, Angry Sea Roller Coaster, and Whirlwind Horn offer a strong sense of weightlessness, perfect for water enthusiasts; the Shark Slide through the transparent shark tank is great for taking photos. Family-friendly attractions: Water play areas, Ocean Empire children's water park, Rapid River Lazy River, and wave pool offer fun for children and adults alike, making it a great place for the whole family to spend a whole day.

The Atlantis Aquarium in Sanya is absolutely stunning! The enormous Lost Chambers aquarium makes you feel like you're in an underwater world, with over 86,000 marine creatures swimming in 13,500 tons of natural seawater. The beluga whale interaction is incredibly therapeutic, the jellyfish area is dreamy and beautiful, and every shot in the underwater tunnel is a masterpiece. It's definitely worth the ticket price for a family trip; you can learn something new and experience the wonders of the ocean. Highly recommended!

It's unbelievably beautiful! You absolutely must experience the Glass Sea. The scenery is breathtaking. You can get a free cup of coffee at the top of the mountain. I spent half a day just relaxing there – it was the ultimate in relaxation.

The beluga whales were so cute! Andy and Tina were so lively too. And Xiao Huang told us there's a mermaid show at 11:00! Xiao Ping really liked the giant octopus.

The dogs are cute and mischievous. Many parents bring their children to play, buy snacks to feed the monkeys, and watch them leisurely sunbathe, pick fleas, chase each other, and frolic. My mom really enjoys watching, and we also just stand there, basking in the monkeys' carefree and joyful atmosphere.

Overall, the experience here was excellent. Being in the off-season meant fewer crowds, making for a very comfortable visit. The fantastic shows were memorable, and many of the park's attractions are worth trying. It's a place I really enjoyed and highly recommend.

There aren't many queues. There are rides (Rust Mountain Rafting, South China Sea Train, roller coasters, etc.), animal feeding (tortoises, seals, manatees, rays, penguins, etc., 588 RMB/2 people), and shows (mermaid show, whale show). There are fireworks at 8:30 PM and iron flower displays at 7:30 PM. It's quite expensive, but car rental is convenient (400 RMB/day).

Sanya Haitang Bay (National Coast) Location: Northeast of Sanya City, approximately 28km from the city center, with a coastline of 21.8km. Beach: Free admission; generally large waves, swimming is not recommended. A high-end resort bay area in Sanya, featuring luxury hotels, family-friendly amusement parks, duty-free shopping, and island hopping. Quiet, less crowded, and with a strong resort atmosphere. Must-Visit Attractions: Wuzhizhou Island: Sanya's top-tier glass-like sea, ideal for diving and photography. Almost no queues before 8 AM. Atlantis Resort & Spa: Thrilling rides like Leap of Faith and water roller coasters; the aquarium is great for photos, and hotel guests can visit for free. Sanya International Duty-Free City: The world's largest single duty-free shop, a must-visit for shopping. Requires ID card and departure information. Houhai Village (Tenghai Fishing Village): Free admission, a less-visited fishing village with small waves, perfect for surfing, beachcombing, and sunset watching. The night market is vibrant and lively. Haitang River Ecological Park: A free family-friendly park with a Li ethnic-themed play area, walking trails, and lawns. Nantian Hot Spring: Known as "China's No. 1 Hot Spring," it's a relaxing place to soak in the hot springs, perfect for unwinding after a day of swimming.

Thumbs up to the staff! I forgot my car keys in the car and thought I'd lost them on Monkey Island. I was frantic, but all the staff had already gone home. The park manager and security captain helped me search the park. Although it turned out to be a false alarm, I still want to give the helpful staff a thumbs up! 👍👍👍
